Vampires. If you have Late Night installed, your town gets overrun with them. And every time my sim goes somewhere, it gets Hunted moodlet. And i hate to see some sims i want to be normal ( In Sunset Valley, Goths for example) having pale skin and glowy eyes. Freaky.

Hey! I love Vampires! :P

I think that punishments are annoying, and should be disabled. It makes the game too realistic, and it's to the point where they're grounded for leaving the house, and cannot go to school as a result.  ::)

New pet peeve: Horse gnomes. At least in my current Dynasty game, they're taking over the place, blocking doors and gates and stuff. I keep culling the herd down to 10, and I still find extras all over the place... but you know, they're worth 1000 simoleons a pop... :)

I always have the same problem with dog gnomes, but the extra money is definitely a silver lining!

How it takes FOREVER for them to age up! They just stand around clapping for ages around the cake! Or once my sim was marrying a townie who was a bouncer or something and she left the party so he couldn't get married and the party was a failure :(

Oh! And the default career clothing that is normally absolutely awful e.g. bare foot, random and it's un-editable!! You can only add more :(

The incessant memories.  So much.

Also, sims change the station on the radios too much.  NO! Stayin' Alive was on! Don't put it on the Simlish pop station  >:(

When you throw a house party and you can't get to the door in time, so some of the guests start saying it was a bad party and leave. I put all the party guests in a fence and locked the gate. And the guests still said it was a lame party and my sim got the bad party moodlet!
The outside is quiet, but the inside is on full blast.

My sims usually have a good party as long as there is food, music and some kind of entertainment, like a foos ball table, or especially a water slide. They all seem to love the slide!

The party complaints (people showing up and then being unable to get in the door, or showing up, leaving, and then complaining) are the main reason that I hardly ever let sims who don't have the Legendary Host reward throw them.  It's one of the first rewards I give sims in games where parties are important/necessary.  The constant party invitations for celebrities are annoying as well.  I've yet to go to a good townie party.  More than once I've shown up and the only one home was a cat or dog!  But don't not show up to their terrible affair, or you'll get a false accusation the next day...

Also, the fact that every sim seems to adore playing computer games.  That is one reason i always make Genius sims, chess is quieter.

It irritates me that security gates keep out everyone except burglars.

What's also pretty annoying is when you decline an invite from a Townie to go to their party, and then they feel the need to phone you up at random o'clock and say just how much they missed you at the party. Seriously? This is why my Sims never answer their mobile phones.
Grr Argh!

I really wish there were something in Pets that would allow a cat to come sit on your Sim's lap when they're watching TV or on the computer or something. Sim/pet relationships build so slowly, even when they're BFF; if Sims could cuddle with their pets while actually doing something useful (like in real life) it would make things a lot easier.

They can do that.  Just have your cat click on the Sim who is sitting and there's an option to get on the lap.  I don't know how much, if any, it increases the relationship bar, but it's awfully cute.  I'm pretty sure it has to be an adult cat, too.

A small dog can also sit on a sims lap, the sim tickles it's tummy, it is very cute.
The pet do it autonomous, can sit on a strangers lap.
