House Challenges

I've just moved my sim into a new house and a challenge popped up. I was wondering what other challenges there are. Can someone please tell me what they are. It would be nice if this was added to carl's guide.

Do you mean an opportunity? There are dozens, if not hundreds, of different opportunities that appear throughout the game.  Some are regarding careers, some are for skills, and others are just miscellaneous.

When I bought the house, A challenge came up saying that my house was on a indian burial ground. Then it said that I can accept this challenge or not.

Ah, I see!  Those don't come up very often and as far as I know that one is the only challenge you can have on a house/lot.

I think there are more because my friend said he got one dealing with a meteor hitting his house.

There are several different challenges. The one you are referring to just makes there be ghosts on your lot at the beginning. After a day or two I think, a ghostbuster comes and takes them away. One is the meteor one, and there are several meteors on your lot at the beginning. There is also a water leak one where there's puddles of water that you have to mop up. I also think that there's one more, but I don't remember exactly what it is.

I've gotten that, it leaves scorch marks you cant get rid of.

I know the meteor one is bad, but apparently you get small and medium meteorites that could be the best or worst.

No problem! Another thing I've heard is that each challenge can only happen on one or two lots in each town. But don't quote me on that. I'm not 100% sure. Also, it doesn't matter if you buy a house furnished or unfurnished, but you do have to buy a pre-made house.

I was wondering if it only happened on certain lots. If it does, I think I'll try to find out which lots. It would be nice to know.

I've only had it pop up once and it was on a lot that I use often as a starting point in Sunset Valley.  It makes me think that it's random and that any lot can have it happen.  I'm not certain, though.

What was the address for that lot?

It was 55 Water Lily Lane in Sunset Valley.  It's called Pre-Fabulous.  I declined the challenge when it popped up and I haven't seen it since then.
