Can I still do digital downloads for Sims 3 without purchasing as credit?

Question for Pam or anyone else who might know. If I preorder Pets from EA and use my paypal to pay for it will it charge me right away or still not until it ships?

I use my one credit card for everything, because it's all I have.  I've used it to pre-order EPs and to buy SimPoints, and never had any problem.  In the case of pre-orders, the charge doesn't get put on my card until the item is shipped.  I live in Canada and don't even know if Paypal is available here, nor do I care because the credit card billing is easy and - so far - problem-free.

I used reloadable pre-paid cards at the store. They work fine.

Sort of. You can buy them specifically for the store, but the major credit card companies like Visa and Mastercard make them, too.

I have purchased them at Target, Best Buy and Blockbuster Video.  I have seen them other places too, but can't remember.

EDIT: Target in my area has them on sale sometimes.  $20 card for $16.  I like sales.
