Best Thing to Feed Omni Plant for Money

Only thing about feeding omni plants "Dragon Ripple", you pay 2500 for the book and only get around 1500 when you harvest and that is on a perfect omni plant, oh well, that is deflation for ya, lol.  It is still a profit, especially if you have alot of omni plants, one book to feed and three or four when harvested.  Deathfish are really profitable I found out when you harvest, not sure what the most you can get for one, but the highest price on one of mine was 653 at this time.

Yeah, I noticed that too, but when you think about it, you get so many books from a single omni plant before it's barren that you make huge profits from those books. I only feed it deathfish when I'm running low on them for ambrosia and I don't want to go to the graveyard.

Forgive my reviving this thread, but I've emptied both bookshelves in China base camp, and Dragon Ripple is not among them. Does it appear on some visits but not on others? The books I took all had $0 value, which seems odd.

Once you return home, they will have the money value to sell them.

I thought Dragon Ripple would be in the bookcases, but maybe it can only be purchased.  And yeah, hang on to the books until your Sim gets back home.

Dragon Ripple is not there every time.  I grab all the books no matter if it is there or not.

Unfortunately my simbot is "neat" and keeps trying to return the books in her inventory to the shelves. Being a simbot has its perks though -- all she needs is a tent -- so I won't let her near the base camp now.

Many of the other books are nearly as valuable as Dragon Ripple, so it's still a good score.

There's another book close to Dragon Ripple in value. You can use that one in case you sell all your Dragon Ripples at once (like I did  )

Dragon Ripple is a very expensive book from China.  When you are at the base camp there, you can click on the 2 bookcases, open them, then take all books.  When you return to your 'home' town, you can sell all the books you took and get a great profit.  Likewise, you can feed them to the omni plant and then sell the ones you grow for huge amounts of money.

I had a strange omniplant problem for the first time. My sim had completed all but one of the prerequisite opportunities, when he went on vacation, which seemed to delay the offering of the final omniplant opportunity. Once he finally got it, the seeds they gave him were horrible quality (3 different degrees of terrible, in fact). I ended up dumping them and he sent away for more, getting only 2 normal seeds. I feel like he got ripped off in terms of quality.

That happened to me too, but seeds that he ordered after that were good.  Every once in a while you will get a bad seed, but it gets less often.  I have stockpiled alot of seeds now and put them in the treasure chest.
