Fog Emitter Thread

Is there some way to view the effects in build mode? I'm trying to add a 3-tiered waterfall in a community lot but I have to keep going back to live, which means LONG save times just to see what is going on! And the effects are SO far off it is becoming evident that adding effects is impossible.

I know that in buy mode (not sure about build) you can turn on lights & have all the options in live mode by ctr+shift or shift+c clicking it (Sorry, I can't remember& I'm  not on my computer right now to check) so the concept may be the same, not sure though.
