Did they use a grass for the lawns that we don't have?
I took out some trees on my lot and was going to use the terrain paints to cover up the brown spots that was under the trees. But none of the grass terrain paints matched the grass on the lot.
I've done this several times in the other worlds and never had a problem matching the lawn.

Could you use the eraser? I've put in sand, not liked it and then used the eraser to get rid of it, and it came back with the original colour lawn.

I saw someone ask about the beautiful vista moodlet in HS, so here's a list:

Unfortunately, there appear to be no empty lots and no residential lots with a Beautiful Vista moodlet.

If you have any corrections or more information, please share! It's entirely possible that I left something out or missed it entirely.

I'm still iffy on Hidden Springs.  Costs a tad too much, even more than a stuff pack!  Is it worth it?

Nona, thanks for the beautiful vista moodlet list. Unfortunately I came to the same conclusion in the meantime - and I don't like it. I got Hidden Springs because my Sim Architect was getting a bit tired of the same houses over and over in Sunset Valley. He had a decent lot at the beach with beautiful vista, now he's none. Maybe I need to do some major construction

Personally, I love Hidden Springs, mostly because it's a real change from the others towns I have. If you download before a certain date (I'm not sure what date, sorry) it has 10% off. If you are unsure samoht04 did a review a few pages back, and there's plenty of threads on the official forums.

The sale date ends on 9-25. Then the price goes up to 2,450. I have to say that I love Hidden Springs. If you're unsure about getting it, though, I wouldn't get it until you want a real change of scenery. That's exactly what I was looking for when I purchased it, and I am very satisfied. If you play challenges a lot, a new setting is always worth it, I think.

I tried the code earlier today and it didn't work. It said it was invalid.


Edit: I was trying the Sims 3 store. It works only on EA.com. Sorry for my confusion.

I Signed in, I then went up to the search on top right and typed Sims Points, Found the 1000 one, typed in promo code (all capitols and no spaces)  HIDDENSPRINGSPOINTS   and got 1000 for 5.00 checked out and I then repeated this for another 1000 points for 5.00.
I do live in the US, so it may only work for US

Correct, it only works in the US and Canada. There is a sale in the UK, 4000 simpoints for the price of 3000, and there was one in Australia but I'm not sure if that is already over. The rest of the world didn't get a simpoint sale, unfortunately.
