It is very pretty and there are a lot of venues to visit(night spots,clubs etc etc. The green Sims just have the green skin no special abilities or traits that I could see. It is nicely spread out but travel takes about the same as Sunset valley which is good.

For dynasty players.
I could only see two fishing spots but there is water all the way round so fishing should not be a problem. There is no pond in the graveyard so not sure where you would catch death fish.
I found a few seeds but not sure as of yet if there are any special seeds.
No book Coral in the library.
Seems to be a good mixture of rich and poor households including an Alto.
According to the Sims 3 forum there is a 64 by 64 lot. I found an empty lot costing around 8000 Simoleans I cannot remember of the top of my head how big it was.

Those "venues" are ALL hangouts and need to be converted to become clubs. A little name change and/or remodel and you're good to go.

There IS a pond in the graveyard but it is very small.  Don't know if there are deathfish in it yet.  Did not see any deathflowers in the graveyard but didn't explore it that much.

As for the fountain, Granny Shue is currently 892 days old.  Been dipping in the fountain much Grannie?  One of her traits is childish.  Thing she over did the beverage or messed up her wishes.  This is one of the nicer families to play although I'm kind of enamored of Francisca Vanderberg (Runaway).  Her brother is pretty cool too and is definitely a very good catch for an enterprising lovely young lady.  He just might wind up being a wealthier "Christopher".  

EDIT:  Well done Tom!  I agree with you on that awesome view and the lodges are exactly what a poor dynasty founder needs to survive a LONG time. 

By the way, earlier you said it was coming out near your birthday.  Did I miss it?  Are congratulations/happy birthday in order?

I noticed the book shelf in the museum as well, but it is blocked off by the rope and my sim couldn't get to it.  If your sims have been able to do it, without using Edit town to remove the rope, please let me know.

Can someone please tell me where to find the Fountain of Youth in Build/Buy mode? I know we have to place it via Edit Town, but I can't find it

It is the most expensive Statue I believe. At $495,000 it isn't the cheapest fountain ever.  

Edit: Just checked - Decor > Sculptures and it is at the very bottom of the list.

FOY - Fountain of Youth. One Sim is apparantly nearly 900 days old.

I am very pleasantly surprised so far.  I have been playing this town for a couple of hours now - about an hour last night and about an hour tonight - and I have to say, I didn't expect it to be worth the money, but it really is.  The new sims are interesting, the town itself is gorgeous, and the Edit Town potential is there - the Ambitions lots are easy to fix (just throw down a bit of pavement and you are done) and the huge volume of hangouts makes turning this into a Late Night town feasible (personally, I am leaving the hangouts as they are - you don't need every town to be a bar town, and it just doesn't seem to fit in this town, I think).

I'm actually glad I dropped the 20 bucks on this town.  I was planning on skipping it and just waiting for the new town in Pets, but I probably won't buy Pets right away, and this town is fun enough and interesting enough to induce some extra play time out of me while waiting for Pets, and what else can you ask for?

It's actually already pretty close to becoming my favorite town.

Judging by Joria's list of townies, most of them seem to have a really extended lifespan, so I'm guessing this would be a problem when it comes to dynasty/decadynasty play?
