I had this strange bug today. I know there are other people having it as well, but I had never experienced this in my game. Today I created a new game in Barnacle Bay and sent one of the sims to China. When I got there, there was no sim in the game. That bar that shows the selectable sims available was completely gone, no picture of my sim showed up, no wishes, and the family funds were $0 (he had like $3.000 before leaving Barnacle Bay). So what I did was save the game, exit, remove the .nhd file from that save file as some people said it had worked for them, and entered the game again, but when I tried to go into that same save file again it said something like "A serious error ocurred blah blah" and it sent me back to the main menu. So I deleted that save file, created a new one in Barnacle Bay and this time sent the sim to France hoping it would work... but it didn't. Same thing as before, no sim, no picture, no money or wishes or friends or anything. Luckily this time I saved the game before leaving Barnacle Bay, at least.
So... anyone else had this and managed to work it out? ResetSim doesn't work, obviously, because there's no sim to reset, and it won't let me click on anything so I can't just click on the mobile phone and go back home. I haven't installed anything new in my game, including the last patch, and I don't use any mods or CC, except some store content. I have the 1.22 version of the game. I really don't know what to do here... please please help!! And please tell me I won't have to uninstall and install it all over again
