New Patch Issues

There was a new patch released today, but for some reason it won't install on my computer.

The "Update Available box pops up when I open the Launcher.  I click OK to start the update and.... nothing happens!
I let it sit for like half an hour, just in case it's just being slow. Nothing, I've tried it several times.

Is anyone else having this issue?

Even though were not supposed to mention mods, but do you have a mod? Sometimes mods won't let you update your game.
Also, you may have to uninstall it and then reinstall the Sims 3.

Maybe restart you computer? ???

Well, it's been released only today, so reinstalling would be quite a huge bother to go trough. :)
I had some very bad experiences with the last patch, so this time I just might a wait a few days and see if people report bugs fixed instead of added. I haven't downloaded it yet, but I hope EA will fix these issues soon so you all get to install it. ^_^

I have absolutely no mods, only stuff from the store.
I'm just going to wait and try again in a few days.

All three posts have now been merged and I left the topic title "Patch 1.24 Issues".  I hope people see this one and not start another one, lol.

I am wondering why some people can download it and some people cannot.  Not sure if maybe it is a conflict problem.

My Dynasty Photography has fixed, it no longer bugs the sim so I have to reset. The pictures show in the tab as well.

Fez I just tested that and it seems to be the same.

That link you gave takes me to a 404 - Page Not Found site. But when I click on Updates, it's not listed there for me either. Would you be able to give me the full list of what it says?

Hmm.. My friend's has gotten worse? I haven't actually got anything in my launcher telling me there is an update, and also I want to wait, so i haven't got the new patch yet and tried it. Hmm.. wait a second.. Photography? Fixed? Really? Ahhh, I so hope it's like this for everyone! ;D

Mine didn't show an update either, when the launcher started.  I clicked on the refresh button at the bottom and finally a list of all of the fixes came up in the update box.  I had to click a few times to get it to refresh.  I hope this helps.  Still doesn't work though, good grief.

I'm having the photography bug too. But it only just happened today. I tried to install the patch, couldn't due to "Update Error: Invalid File Found", then started playing anyways and couldn't take photographs.
