Patch 1.24, Issues.

EA just released a new Patch and I am trying to update but I can't. The update opens and finishes but not completly I get this other box, that is looking through the files in Electronic Arts and when it's done it says "Invalid File Found. The Update could not me finished" and then it closes and takes me to the launcher, but there says "Your Game is Up to Date." but then another box comes uo that says "Update avaliable. A new software update is avaliable. Would you like to update your game?" and yes I would love to update my game because it gets rid of many bugs!
Anyone ..?

So far I have not had the same problem as you, although the Patch has been downloading for like an hour almost.  :-\

EDIT: I just remembered that there was a way to manually install a Patch somehow, well I think there is. I've never had to do it before but I seem to remember a discussion about it when someone else had a similar problem...

So your's taking an hour and mine goes as fast as it could go and I get that. I don't have any CC or Mods, I moved my custom music out of the Custom Music file. deleted alot of screenies, stupid videos, and right now I noticed various files I've never seen (than again I don't pay attention to many things) They are called Sims3Logs, Tslus.bin, UserPrests.package, Version.tag and Sims3LauncherLogFile.  ???

Mine took an hour to download and is now installing, slowly. I have those files as well.

I have all the normal files plus those that I listed. There isn't anything out of the ordinary.

I'm having the same problem. Very frustrating!

My launcher just says that my game is up to date and there are no new updates available? ??? I don't want to update yet, anyway, in case even more game-breaking bugs appear, like the last patch. I'm waiting to hear what's happening with everyone else's game first. (The coward I am, haha..) Also, is this the patch for tomorrow's stuff pack, or is a new one coming out for Town-Lite Stuff?

I re-started my computer but it still won't work! This is very annoying. I guess I'll just leave it till later.

I am glad I am not the only one then.  Actually, I am kind of glad mine won't update.  My sister updated her game and when she went to play and tried to change active households, it froze and nothing happened.  So she tried on a different game and the same thing.  She had never had this problem before, now I am not saying the update caused it, but seems sort of strange, game is fine one minute, update the game and then stuff starts happening.  So not too sure what is going on, but no updates, EP's or SP's packs for me right now.  Mine is working too good and am not taking any chances.

New Patch - 1.24

The new patch everyone has been waiting for is officially here, and I think the Town Life Stuff patch subsequently. Go here for the full list of fixes. :)

A few notable fixes at a quick glance:

  • Baby Sims will no longer become stuck on a Sim’s hand while driving a car. (thank God)
  • Photos taken with cameras from World Adventures will now be properly saved to the inventory.
  • Objects placed in a Sim’s Family Inventory will no longer disappear when returning from a Vacation world.

We can also purchase the Laundromat now. Also, lucky people who already got it installed, did it really fix those nasty bugs?

Like I said, I can't say if it was the patch or not, but to be safe, maybe set a restore point and if something happens, at least can restore.  Yeah, she is not a happy camper right now and I don't blame her.  It was a game she has played for a very long time, so maybe just take precautions before updating, is all I am saying.  Good luck all. ???

There is another post on here about this patch, only alot of people cannot even install it.  So if this one starts sounding like the other one, will just merge the two.

Hm, the download is currently 55% percent complete. Should I be worried, I'm thinking now. ??? The worst thing is that they still did not fix the Photography bug, it seems. Oh well. Cancel all ops again, grr. :(

EDIT: 70% already.

EDIT2: Uhm... Done.

EDIT3: "Invalid File Found" ??? Sorry to cause inconvenience, but could someone please merge these two topics?
