Natsuko, that's a post that probably should be in the Babble thread, where there's already been discussion of the Harry Potter movie.  I know there's been a lot of different things discussed here, but we don't want this thread to get completely off track.  We already have the Babble thread for discussion of movies, etc.

The glasses, well nothing I can do about those lol.

Contacts are convenient and all, but I hate their invention because I've liked the glasses look since childhood and here it is dying out. You did great at making your Simself. I had seen your pics on Facebook and that's pretty spot on.

I wear contact lenses myself, but now I can go for a week without wearing mine because in the backroom (that's my real life job), can sometimes dry out my eyes. It's so dusty. I stopped wearing makeup to work. In the meantime, I get discounts on the biggest names in appliances: Craftsmen and Kenmore.  :D

Once I got kicked out of a movie theatre for trying to steal a life-size cardboard Justin Beiber from the lobby. He was going to be a present for my brother  :(. Could you imagine the fun we'd have? Wake up in the morning: "HOLY HECK WHO'S THAT BY MY BED Oh wait it's just Justin, ha ha ha!" "Group Photo! Hold on, I'll go get Justin!".

I managed not to get kicked out of the Harry Potter movie, although I think my friends wanted me kicked out because I couldn't resist yelling "KISS HIM!" during a dramatic Harry/Voldemort scene. Good Lord I am such a troll. :D
I just have to say this: LOL!! I want a Justin, I'd stalk my friends with the Justin in front of me (we all hate his music)! Anyone know where to find a Rebecca Black, complete with a CD player playing Friday? Haha! ;)
That sounds like me going to see Yogi Bear with my brother. Good times ;D

What a lot of good-looking and creative party-goers!  And, if you're interested, the guest list just hit 32.  :D
I agree Schipperke... There are alot of good looking and interesting people on this board.  32, wow, we may need to rent a hall or something for this party  :D  How big did you say your house is?

My real house?  Not that big.  My Sim-House, however, can be as big as I want it to be!   ;)  A motherlode or two, pull this wall out, add some furniture, put in another bathroom ... sometimes I wish reality was like Sims!

Thanks for more pregnancy congrats! I finally told my boss at work today (she's been away for the past 2 weeks!) and it's all good. Now to tell those friends of ours that seem to all be away for the summer.

About teddybears: I have a very special bear (I'm not sure exactly where he is at the moment, please don't judge) that my grandpa gave me when I was in the hospital at age 2. That little bear (about 8 inches tall sitting) had to have a wash before I was allowed to take him home when I got discharged. Sadly, he lost an eye, his shirt, and his fur got all matted in the washing machine. He was loved by me so much that he sat in his place of honour on my bedside table except for a cuddle during very dark childhood days (I didn't want him to "wear out" by sleeping with him in my bed or dragging him around the house). So, today he lies in a box somewhere (I think he's still at my parents') in all his "original" matted, shirtless, missing-an-eye glory. My grandpa felt so bad about it that he bought me a larger replica a few years later, but the second guy was never as special (ironically, I do know exactly where he is).

@ Esther: For some odd reason that I can't quite put my finger on, I was expecting you to look a lot like Cornelia! I'm glad you're coming as yourself.

I'm excited to meet everyone! I hope you have enough other fruit, Schip, I see Nat hogging all the watermelon over on her lounge chair! :D
You've played too much TS3 when ... your 13 month old's babble sounds like Simlish!

I still have my very first teddy bear that my dad brought home for me when I was 2 years old...45 years later it has a special spot on a shelf in my spare bedroom.  It used to play music, but the wind-up key in its tummy broke off a long time ago - so long ago that I don't even remember it ever being there.  It is so well loved that it hardly has any fur left, and what there is of it is kind of grungy.  I love that silly bear and expect I'll have it until the day they put me in the ground.

My other prized stuffed animal is a mohair tiger from the 1940s or 1950s.  I think it is a Steiff or a Hermann, which could make it quite valuable - but I can't seem to find an exact match on any of the collector's websites.  It means so much to me not because of any monetary value but because it belonged to my mom.

@Natsuko
Wow, that's awesome. I bet it looks good in real life. I've had short hair for a long time now - the front's always been medium length with short and spikey at the back. But I'm growing it out now, and it's getting pretty long at the front. If only the back would grow faster@

@Simstar
You can never be too old for toys. Like Leto, I still have my teddy bear from when I was only a few months old.
I sleep with him every night, because it's just a habit now, and has been for about 20 years! I don't see myself ever stopping haha.
He was originally Humphrey B. Bear, but I loved him and cuddled him so much that he's gone from the original Humphrey to resembling Mr. Beans Teddy haha.

@Fez
My hair is the opposite of yours - it's naturally light blonde, but I dye it dark. I also had it a reddish-brown for a time, which I really liked, but black suits me more.

@Esther
You did a great job at making your sim-self!

Hey? What are stalkers doing at my beach? Oh wait, this is the sims.

And one more pic, I have that James Bond look with these sunglasses :P

Oh? My room too? Oh no, this won't end good. Well...

And now for a spontaneous moment: "PARTAAAY."

OK, here's my small room. I feel poor, compared to other people's rooms. Oh well, it's better than no money, :-/

The only thing that I have that I have had for a long time, is a grey stuffed kitty.  When I couldn't have my cat, that I had had for 11 years, I was crushed.  My mom, bought me a stuffed cat that looked just like my cat.  I have had it ever since.  My daughter is supposed to send it here to Vegas, because my car was so packed, I didn't have room for my kitty.  I guess I should have just found a place for him. :)

I'll try and figure out the Gallery again later today.
Old things... I have:
-My cross necklace. I wear it every day except for school days because I'm not allowed.
-My dress from my baptism.
I was six when I was baptised, so these things are 7 years old.

When I was little (about 3-4 years old), I went on holiday with my family. I had a little lamb cuddly toy ever since I was born. I lost my lamb. 'Lamby', I called it. There was a shop at the hotel and my mum bought me a new toy. This time is was a white tiger. I still have him. So I'm now in possession of a White tiger named Lamby. Lol.

I got lucky.  When I was very young, my Aunt made me a rag doll, who I named Sally.  I took her with my on a road trip when I was 7 or 8, and she got left behind in the hotel.  I, of course, was devastated.

When we got home, there was a package from the hotel -- the staff had sent this doll half-way across Canada to make sure she got home to me!

I still have her.  She's in a box in my parent's basement, since I didn't want to bring her to dorms, but I do still have her.
