Ch. 16: A Bittersweet Beginning

Did someone say wedding? No? Well, it's time for Cinderella and Eric's wedding!


I guess Eric didn't feel like dressing up too much.




And we all know what goes down on the wedding night...


Eric, of course, gets a little makeover.


But I don't think anyone expected Cinderella's severe watermelon craving in the morning!


Cinderella: That hit the spot! What an expression!


In the meantime, Anastasia spends a lot of personal time with Dmitiri.


She still is a bit uncomfortable with riding, but she perseveres! Dmitri is very patient.



But he finds some time to relax after spending all that time with Anastasia.


Cinderella soon finds herself hovering over the toilet!


Oh, and Eric decides to take up fishing. I may need some deathfish soon... I'm running a little low on Ambrosia!


And it turns out Cinderella really is pregnant. I'm so excited for this princess!


I think Eric is excited too.


While Anastasia is taking some time to heal a vampire patient...


The unfortunate happens.


Grim decides to come for old Kristopher.


Rest in peace, Kristopher. You were a wonderful husband and father.


The family grieves, but only for a short time. Cinderella soon goes into labor.


She is rushed to the hospital only to slowly stride out while carrying a beautiful baby girl. Everyone, meet Mulan.

Oh, this made my day! This is easily one of my favourite dynasties.

It's sad to say goodbye to Kristopher, but I welcome Mulan! I'll admit I was always interested as to why Mulan was considered a Disney Princess when she wasn't royalty. Nobility, maybe?

Well, I guess she's not technically a princess, but I wasn't going to name this the "Famous Female Disney Character Immortal Dynasty!" I think she marries the prince in Mulan 2, though. So she eventually becomes royalty?

Good point. I never watched much of Mulan, to be honest. Actually I've noticed Kida from Atlantis, who was born a princess, and Megara from Hercules, who married into royalty, are not in the official Disney Princess lineup. I expect Disney just takes the characters from the more successful movies, regardless of whether their title fits.

So bottom line, whatever works for you!

Well, from what I remember,  Mulan is considered one of the Disney Princesses, despite not being royalty/nobility. (She's the only one who's not nobility/royalty).   I don't know the why of that, though, sorry.

I know that the Disney people actually vote on who gets to be a "Disney Princess." I'm not really sure what it takes to qualify, though.
