Ch. 15: A New AdditionEric finally arrived. Cinderella greeted him with a hug and immediately asked if everything was all right.
Even after the recent terrible events, Eric told her that he was fine. It might take his dad a while to recoup, though. But since his mom was still living at home, perhaps they would get back together.
Cinderella felt obligated to tell Eric about why Anastasia was so upset. She told him about how she was jealous that Cinderella was able to have a life, but she wasn't.
Eric understood. He knew he would feel just as bad if it were him. But surprisingly, Cinderella had an idea. Eric wasn't so sure about her idea, but he let her go with it.
Then, Cinderella went to tell her mother about her plan.
Cinderella: Hey, Mom. I think I know what I can do to make Anastasia happy.
Belle: Seriously? What could you possibly be able to do? I hate to say it, but I think Anastasia is just going to keep being unhappy.
Cinderella: No, no. I really think I'm onto something here. Anastasia just wants to love and be loved. I know how to get her that.
Belle: Whatever could you possibly mean? You can't just bribe some man to fall in love with her. And even if you could, she still wouldn't be happy.
Cinderella: Who said I was talking about a man?
Belle: Oh, Cinderella I'm not so sure about this...
Cinderella: Mom! That's not what I meant!Some time later...
Cinderella: This is what I meant!
Belle: That's genius, Cinderella! What's his name?
Cinderella: Dimitri.
Belle: I think Anastasia will love him!
Cinderella: I sure hope so.
Belle: Anastasia, Cinderella and I have something we want to show you.
Anastasia: Ugh, what is it?
Cinderella: We want you to meet Dimitri.
Anastasia: What? Why would you get me a horse?
Belle: Why not?
Cinderella: I feel bad about... well, everything. I thought you could use a friend, and I'm pretty sure I wasn't the kind of friend you wanted. So, I bought you a horse.
Anastasia: But I don't even like horses.
Belle: Oh come on, who doesn't like horses?!
Cinderella: Just say hi to him. He is yours after all.
Anastasia: *sigh*
Anastasia: Oh!!
Cinderella: You like him?
Anastasia: Yes... yes, I do. He's so beautiful! And he has such pretty eyes, and he's so soft! You said his name is Dimitri?
Cinderella: Yeah.
