Ch. 1 Sleeping Beauty and her Prince Charming

Meet Aurora! The Sleeping Beauty Princess! Her traits are Loves the Outdoors, Natural Cook, Green Thumb, Born Saleswoman, and Bookworm.

She knows she needs to find a man, preferably a rich one, so she can buy something more than a mediocre bed on her lot. Where better to look in Riverview than right across the street? Well, well... this guy must have some money, thinks Aurora.

Aurora's neighbor is Jon Lessen. Jon invites her inside, and Aurora soon finds out that some of his traits are Hopeless Romantic, Artistic, and Virtuoso.

After chatting for a few hours, Aurora invites Jon down to The Gazebo for a little outdoors time, and he agrees.

See him leaving in his hot yellow Margaret Vaguster? Yeah, I made sure he left in it.

Once there, Aurora immediately starts flirting with him. He's pretty cute and she wants to snag him here and now.

But much to her dismay, he just doesn't seem ready for anything more than flirting. Kind of surprising, since he's a Hopeless Romantic!

Luckily, though, when Aurora invited Jon to The Gazebo again the next day, he seems to be a little more prepared.

Aurora thinks, Wow, that was an awfully nice kiss. And he's so sweet. You know... I might be falling in love. So, of course, Aurora proposes right here.

The Gazebo is a pretty enough place, so they have their wedding ceremony right there. Aurora even put on her wedding gown that she just so happened to have in her pocket or something...

Aurora is a little disappointed that she only gets $24,000 out of the marriage, but then she remembers a certain yellow hot rod... and now they have $129,000 to furnish their new house! Viola! Welcome to the ground floor.

Their days are now mostly spent apart. After reaching level 7 in painting, Jon completed Aurora's Young Adult Portrait and then started on his sculpting. He has a lot to do before getting to 25 ice sculptures.

Aurora spends a lot of time at the library. Apparently there is a crazy explanation to why Aurora's favorite color is red.

She also likes to garden in her pajamas. At least her outfit isn't too racy!

A few days later, Aurora and Jon have a dual birthday! Time to invite a lot of guests and stock the fridge with cake!

Aurora goes back to the library again the next day and reads and reads and reads some more. Gotta get that cooking skill up!

Next time, be prepared for a nooboo and some other stuff!

Awesome restart but I've noticed a problem. You said Jon got to Level 5 of Painting when he painted Aurora, meaning you pressed the 'Paint Still Life' Interaction. You have to actually press 'Paint a Portrait' otherwise you'll fail.

Yikes.  That's true.  You've got to be at level 7 in Painting to do a portrait.

Wow, I was about terrified for a moment. I've not used Paint Still Life, so I was confused by the comments for a moment. My saying level 5 was actually a typo, lol. Let me just go fix that...

This is a good start to your story. Your a lot smarter about who you married than I was, it was smart to marry the richest guy in the game.

You'll never guess what happened! While I was decorating the museum, Aurora's Young Adult portrait vanished. I still have no idea how. I never deleted anything, but I was in live mode, dragging the paintings from Jon's inventory to the wall. I placed the portrait but I couldn't see it, so then I figured it must have ended up on the other side of the wall... no! It just vanished! When I went into build mode, I tried deleting the wall and it said that one piece of wall was worth like $1000, which means the painting must have been there, but I couldn't see it, much less pick it up. Looks like I'm going to have to start over again. :( I'll keep the events the same as what happened in this first post, but my next update will be my do-over, starting with Aurora's pregnancy.

I've had the same thing happen to me with several of my dynasty portraits, fortunately I had enough time to have Agnes redo them, so it hasn't forced a restart.  Before you start decorating it might be a good idea to do a save so you can exit the game and go back to the save so you don't have to restart again if it keeps happening.

Congratulations on the lovely wedding and I can't wait to hear the pitter patter of nooboo feet!

I loved the restart! I'm very glad you're continuing with your Dynasty, Moons. Best of luck! :)

This is a good start to your story. Your a lot smarter about who you married than I was, it was smart to marry the richest guy in the game.

I actually was going to start in Sunset Valley, but then I realized just about everyone had used Christopher Steel as their founder's husband and Agnes Crumplebottom as their founder's wife. So I took a look at Riverview and found out that the richest guy just happened to have the most expensive car in the game and he's artistic, which is a win at its best, haha.

Nice restart - Aurora looked beautiful at her wedding.

Thank you! :) I'm going to try to have the wedding dresses colored as the real princess's dresses.

Good luck on your re-start :)

Thanks! I really don't want to try this again for the fourth time... Gardening is a pain.

I will definitely make sure I save! I've never come across disappearing portraits, so I was completely unprepared for it. Now I know better, so I'll be saving anytime I touch the museum.

If you haven't re-started this is what you do to get it back. (it worked for me!) Switch the wall levels a few times and then put the levels ehich you usually play with and the painting should be back.

Thank you, but I've already restarted (almost time for an update, yay!), and before I did, I messed with all of the wall levels. I even tried deleting the floor (the painting was on the second level) and angled the camera to look up at the wall from the first floor, but still nothing.

So, this is my restart. As I mentioned earlier, one of Aurora's portraits disappeared when I was trying to place it in the museum, and I couldn't get it back for the life of me. The sad thing was that I really liked the house I had built and I didn't want it to go... which means that I spent a massive amount of time drawing it out on graph paper and making notes of what kind of wallpaper and floor and all that good stuff. It's almost an exact replica! I also did it because I didn't want this redo to have a whole different set of room designs and clash with the first post.

Now let us return to Aurora.

Ch. 2: Meet the Nooboo, Beauty and the Beast

She and Jon have grown quite far apart. Aurora has maxed her Gardening skill and is a level 8 Gardener. She's also a level 7 cook and has achieved her lifetime wish of Perfect Garden. Jon has maxed both the Painting and Sculpting skills and continues sculpting to bring in some more income. They already have full ownership of Divisadero Budget Books, and are saving up to purchase Lost Willow Park. Aurora can't get over how distant she and Jon are becoming, though. She remembers when they were so in love, and she wants that closeness again. She only gets to spend a small part of eternity with her love.

So, one day she and Jon take a break from their daily tasks and focus on each other. They spend hours sharing secrets and talking and just sitting with each other. They slowly move to the bedroom and continue talking more. It was a magical day.

The next morning, Aurora takes a seat in the living room and has an insatiable craving for watermelon. Luckily, she has grown plenty of watermelon in her garden and eats nothing else for the next few days.

And wouldn't you know! Aurora is pregnant! She tells Jon the news. He seems pretty happy about it.

For the next few days, Jon spends some more time sculpting, and Aurora goes back to her garden. Jon has a slightly terrifying experience while sculpting with metal.

Soon after, Aurora goes into labor! Right behind the brick fence surrounding the house. At night. Not so great for good pictures, lol. Also, her maternity-wear was a little disoriented. (PS. Does anyone know how to select what maternity-wear you want your sim to wear? I can't plan her outfit at the dresser.)

Welcome Belle, everybody! The Beauty and the Beast Princess (and my personal favorite Disney movie). Both Aurora and Jon love her very much. Her traits are Brave and Artistic.

The two new parents take great care of their nooboo, and they throw a little house party to show her off. However, the party doesn't exactly go as planned. The Grim Reaper comes to take poor old Ron Lee away. Even so, everyone seems to have a blast. I guess not even Grim himself can ruin Aurora's party!

Belle birthday quickly arrives. Aurora throws another shindig. She needs to get working on those Best Friends, after all. Here's little Belle as a toddler. She has her mother's eyes and face and her father's hair and nose, a healthy combination of both genetics, I think. :)

Did I mention that Belle received an Imaginary Friend? Her name is Mrs. Potts. Belle sure does love Mrs. Potts.

Aurora and Jon have finally saved up the $33,000 it costs to purchase and upgrade Lost Willow Park. It was already level two when purchased, so I just changed the fire pit area into more of a play area.
Before:

After:

Jon and Aurora spend a lot of time with their precious Belle. Aurora spends a lot of time teaching her a certain subject. Aurora knows that Belle won't understand it just yet, but she has a feeling that Belle will come to appreciate her lesson one day.

Jon completes her portrait, ice sculpture, and photograph. He makes sure to potty train Belle very quickly. He also teaches her to walk. Look at this adorable little girl!

It's birthday time again! Another party and another birthday cake. Man, this fridge is getting way too full of cake. Mom and Dad are both very excited!

Here's Belle!

Next time, be prepared for Belle's unusual friend, a look into the museum, romance, and some unexpected humiliation.

You can change what clothes they wear when they are pregnant by clicking on the sim and choosing 'change outfit'. That must have taken you a long time to draw out the house, but it looks really nice.
