Maybe they're just weird, like me. I'm predominantly right handed, but there are certain things I can only do "south-paw." Eating is one of those things. The fork just feels odd in my right hand, and I can't use a knife to cut food with any effectiveness with my left. Also, when I took guitar lessons as a kid, I just couldn't get the hang of it. My left hand was not coordinated enough to work the neck of the guitar, and it felt uncomfortable in that position. It was rather frustrating, until my guitar teacher took it upon himself to string my guitar upside down. After I switched hands, I was actually able to progress.
