Weird hidden Chinese trait
« on: July 14, 2011, 07:08:57 AM »
My sim eat autumn salad with chopsticks while in China. While being at their home she eats it with a fork. Does she now has the hidden Chinese trait or not?

I believe it's just a 50/50 chance, so it may very well be that she didn't get the trait. However, there are some meals that even Sims with the Asian Culture trait eat with fork.

EDIT: Forgot the question. Was it the same type of meal she was eating?
Well, that's your opinion, isn't it? And I'm not about to waste my time trying to change it. - Lady GaGa

Yes. And after that I also tried it with Egg Rolls, a recipe from China. In China she eat it with chopsticks, at home with a fork.

Best of luck, Leto. :)

Thanks!

And I'm done. I've crossbreed Gustave from French with Sun Young from China and their offspring Gustason could sing two French songs, two Chinese songs and guess what... he did eat with chopsticks, AT HOME!!! Autumn salad.

Congratulations Leto!  All your hard work has finally paid off.  The real question is:  when he greets someone, does he bow or kiss on the cheeks?

Only in China.
And the weird thing is, I've breed this sim (Gustason) with Layla Lufti from Egypt and the child from them Lagusta did not eat with chopsticks and only remembered two Egyptian songs.
Last thing I will do is breed that sim with Maya Wang from China to see the offspring from that.

And as a backup plan I have copied Gustason, change the copied sims gender to female and call her Gustaly. She is now pregnant from Gustason as like I'd said: a backup.

Congrats Leto! Lol, if only that was possible in real life - eating autumn salad with chopsticks. At least then I'll finally make myself learn the art of eating with chopsticks. -sigh-
