I was just playing with Imaginary Friends. The only thing special that I can see is that once an offspring turns into a child, they can turn into a toy, like the Imaginary Friend-turned-parent. Other than that, they seem to be normal children as far as a I can tell. I haven't tried the third generation of an Imaginary Friend. I assume their children would also be able to turn into a toy.

I think so, yes. Unless there comes in the 50% change of getting it.

What is the toy state like? Do their needs freeze or something?

My Imaginary Friend had twins and they both could turn into toys, so it might still be 50/50, but I'm not sure. I didn't notice their needs freezing while they were toys. The toy state is just changing their appearance into an Imaginary Friend. Everyone can still see and interact with them since they're real. They also strut around while in toy form, but you can also have them "strut here" instead of "walk here" when they're in human form.

No, not the post-woohoo strut, lol! That would be really wrong, haha. It's called strut for Imaginary Friends, but it's not the same strut as the woohoo one. You know how the Imaginary Friend (before it turns real) walks around all bouncy-like? I mean that strut.

What is post-woohoo strut? I've never heard of that before. And that while I play this game so long now.

I think it came with Late Night originally. Some sims do it after publicly woohooing. I've had some sims do it after woohooing for the first time. Here's a link to a video.
