So how much are your bills, Leto? The No Bills LTR is always one of the first ones I take, just because I hate throwing away money. Even the small amount of money involved when my Sims are poor and hardly own anything. I can't imagine the size of the bills with a rich family you've been playing for a while.
I used to take that LTR, but once I realised how easy it was to make money in Sims 3 (especially with the Ambitions expansion), I stopped using it because I needed something to throw away my money at.
In the current dynasty I'm playing, I'm only at the third generation at the moment, with bills ranging around $7000+ (so $14k per week) but selling two large masterpiece paintings easily negates that, not to mention the other sources of income such as owned properties and Money Trees.
The children are basically spoilt brats at this point, because daddy and mommy have bought everything they could possibly want, that can be bought with money. It does sometimes give me food for thought when the teenagers blaze back home in their sport cars from school, but other then buying stuff worth $100k and then deleting them (not sell), I am at a loss sometimes on how to spend the money. I can't even donate it. They really should remove the cap on donations.
What I'm doing now is basically turning my house into a "Make a LTW" foundation. Whenever I encounter a NPC Sim that interests me, be it be the Maid, the Policewoman, the Pizza Girl, the Paper Girl(when she grows up), or heck, even the Party Dancers. I get my family Sims to invite them to move into the household and see what their random LTW is. I then pour my resources into making that LTW come true for them, before buying a sparkling brand new house for them to move out into.
(And a car that I feel best fits their personality (they will actually use it instead of the standard boring Lemons), plus a Death Flower, and a Flame Fruit, and whatever certificates/trophies they may have earned)
It's the only way I have found to utilise the absurd amounts of money my Sims are making.
Cheers.
