Time machine profit.

I made a sim with a bunch of positive social traits (i.e. friendly, flirty etc.) and gave him the wish super popular. I was going to make him have the only way he makes money is by traveling through time. I got the traits so that he might make friends in other times (never traveled through time before) but looking back on it I should have given him the brave trait. I bought a time machine at the consignment store first thing for 1,400. Then I went time traveling to the future. I came back with over 1,400 simoleans so I already made money. I went back to the past but came back with nothing. I haven't tried it again but will they continue to make a lot of money time traveling? If so this could be an interesting unorthodox way to make money. Also, do they make more money/return with more valuable objects by going tothe past or the future?

My inventor sim has gone to both the future and the past many times, and she will randomly come home with around $1400-$2000.  Sometimes she comes home with nothing.  A better bet for making money is by buying or making the driller, and then mining for tiberium.  The uncut version of it is only around $100 but once you cut it and set it on the ground, the next day it grows and is worth over $30,000.
