Tiberium and Science Career.

I was playing Sims 3 and noticed something interesting..

There is a part of the science career after you hit lvl 10 that says get us 4 Tiberium and we will pay you and give you performance.. or something..

Anyway I got 4 Tiberium and gave it to them, they in turn gave me 437,000 dollars for 4 pieces of Tiberium.

I am not sure people know of this so I am posting it here..

I was also wondering if there was a way to tell all the end careers what special thing they get..

Like Science you have this zapper thing that zaps things to make them do good or bad things, or even catch something on fire.

Law enforcement career you get a police car even after ur retired.

That is the only 2 I know of...

Welcome to our Forum, DeathGoth!  Thanks for that information.  A lot of the careers now incorporate things from World Adventures.  It's good to know that Tiberium is so amply rewarded in the Science field!

Chefs get a special refrigerator that gives an extra positive moodlet.   Rock stars and sports stars get to sign autographs and they get to keep the limo.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the reward fridge from the Culinary track also either prolongs the lives of leftovers or keeps them fresh indefinitely.  There are egg rolls in one of my sims' fridge that are probably older than her grown kid and in the time he's had it he's never had to clean spoiled food out of it.

I put some ambrosia in there to test it out.  If this is the case there are some interesting things you could do to immortalize your sims, either if they don't have the food replicator at all or if the fridge and replicator are working in tandem.

I can't say for sure that the Chef's refrigerator keeps leftovers into infinity, but it certainly keeps them a very long time.  It also gives your Sims a positive moodlet for eating left overs and for even just walking by the refrigerator.  Now I'm curious about whether Ambrosia can be stored on the replicator.  I wouldn't be surprised if it can't because it's such a special dish.

You know, some folks on another forum I frequent were discussing that same thing.  Upon checking it looks like you're right, the replicator doesn't seem to work on ambrosia.  Then again, no one actually came out and said they tried it.

They did say something about exploiting the Omni Plant but I've been unable to get that opportunity thus far so not sure how you'd do it.

Sorry to get so off topic.  My new test is to see if the serving of ambrosia I stored in that fridge lasts until my sim needs it.

OK! This is an exploit with ambrosia I always uses; have your sim cook ambrosia; when the sim attempts to mix it in a bowl, cancel the action. Now you can save the bowl in the replicator and it comes out as real, working (but 'normal' quality) ambrosia. I've never ever have had any side effects of this! Enjoy!

I'm also not 110% certain about the master chef's fridge, but I've had food around 2-3 generations old that isn't spoiled yet!

On one of the Law Enforcement Career tracks (the DNA Profiler) You get a laptop.

Chefs get a food processer and a Celsius Refridgerator or something like that.

Military I'm not sure of because I guess I haven't tried that career out yet (I should really try it though).

Doctors gain the ability to tell the genders of unborn children.

I haven't gotten in-deapth with either the business or the journalism career. Actually there are quite a few careers I haven't tried, however I'm sure Carl has a good description on all careers. :)

No kidding! Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure that there is no way to trigger opportunities except to use the testingcheats.
