I've never had to scroll on my Ipod before and that's with mobile mode off, I'm assuming it's the same for Iphones since just about everything else is similar between the two devices. The site has always fits perfectly for me in both views, normal and flip side view (flipping the device on the side just makes the view auto stretch out and fit the screen) with no side scrolling of any sort unless you zoom in really far, with both browsers I have. Right now, even with auto zooming it's almost double the size it used to be, like the site is duplicating the normal size over into the blank area.
