The big lemon car problem

I want to get tired of my lemon car and upgrade to a better car. I know I can just buy the car outright and I did but my sim keeps driving the big lemon. I live at the end of the road and the car never parks in the car space, just in the road. I have clicked on it and it says go home but does not do anything. I have tried to sell it but the hand won't even go over the car just the pointer and I try and click on it and it does nothing. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

You should be able to click on it and say '○Make Perfered Veichle.' But I think that's only when you park it.

Use testingCheatsEnabled true, shift-click on the car, and delete it.

Oddly enough, one of my sims has the Big Lemon as a best friend. Not so sure about him.

This is because of the LN patch that added the Vehicle Enthusiast trait. It allowed you to name and befriend your car.  ;)

Actually it was the Fast Lane Stuff pack that added that trait, and you don't need the trait to name and befriend the vehicle, it happens (randomly, from what I can tell) after a sim drives a vehicle enough.

Why don't you try deleteobjects on? Then delete the car. Save the game. Restart. That usually solves the problem. Good luck!
