Play in Sand
« on: June 28, 2011, 08:57:09 PM »
I have sand in the lot am working on, and two kids. So I was with the young boy and I wanted him to 'Go Here' to the sand but instead I got a 'Play with Sand' interaction. And I am not using a sandbox. Am talking paint terrain tool, they make sand castles. Just letting everyone know you don't have to buy a sandbox, just use sand! It works just like a sandbox. Pretty pleased with this.  ;)

Sounds like a great way to save a bit of money.  Thanks for sharing that, VampirePlasma!

Same thing I was thinking when I posted this.  ;D A new way for my sims to have fun in my little beach. I wonder if they do go the Beach in Riverview or on anyother World they have the same interaction? I am going to try it out.

Please let us know what you find.  I loved the way Sims could swim in the ocean or make sand castles on the beach in Sims 2, and it would be great if they can do it again (well, the sand castles, anyway).

Whoa really? I'll have to check this out. I hope it's not just a glitch in your game vampireplasma.

Really? That's interesting! I never knew that different terrain could be interacted with. Sounds like fun I'll have to try it out.  :)

yeah the beaches in sunset valley work great.
Remember the sandbox at the school in sunset valley it was made as a decor I guess. But now with generations because of the sand it can actually work as one!

also I have noticed the beach in Bridgeport doesn't. It is a different color sand so it obviously only works with that one normal colored terrain paint.

We even got a new hidden skill: sandcastle building! It has four levels and in time, as it improves, your Sim children will be able to build better sandcastles. :)
Well, that's your opinion, isn't it? And I'm not about to waste my time trying to change it. - Lady GaGa

The beach in Sunset Valley works great! The one in Twinbrook it's a different color sand and in Bridgeport too. I can't find the beach in Riverview.

Riverview is a rural type of town with a peninsula, so it doesn't have a beach. However, If I remember correctly, (maybe this might be Sunset Valley), there is a little pit of sand, with stones, bordered around it to make it look like a sandbox.
