I wanted to ask if anyone knew which quest unlocks the Angel's talon and Doomsword? They are not on my Blacksmith's forge queue. He is level 10 and has releveled about 30 times so I know that he is qualified. Also, if anyone knows how to get access to the arcane edge so that I can have him forge a Doomstaff for my wizard, I would be grateful for the knowledge. My monarch has the Angel's guard armor and my knight has the dark armor so naturally I want them to have the corresponding swords (the Angelsguard looks awesome- you should totally have your knight forge some, though you have to ally every nation and make several trades to get the magical fragments that you need to forge it- check your other heroes because sometimes they get the fragments with random forest or dream interactions).

Thanks in Advance!

Hello LMCali and welcome to the forum.

You don't need a particular quest to unlock the Doomsword but you do need a quest with the blacksmith to actually make it.  You will need the following:
•   Manual of Blacksmithing: The Cursed Doomsword
•   Doomsword blade
•   Doomsword hilt
•   4 Adamantle
•   3 Mana stone
•   3 Mithral
•   Level 10 Blacksmith

Have your level 10 Blacksmith read the manual and then he can forge the sword.

I don't know anything about the Angel's talon, sorry.

The Arcane Edge is given after a very rare event that happens in the forest and can take some time before it appears. You might have to repeat the following steps quite a number of times before you are successful.

1.  Pick a quest where the wizard is one of the playable characters.
2.  Increase your wizard's focus meter until it is full. Taking baths, eating a good meal and picking some herbs are all quick ways to boost the focus meter.
3.  Order the wizard to take a stroll through the forest.
4.  Repeat Step 3 until a random event appears that talks about a dark figure standing on a bridge. You will be given the choice to "Pay the toll" or "Fight the guard." Choose "Fight the guard."
5.  Repeat Steps 1 through 4 if you don't win the fight with the guard the first time.

You will receive a negative buff after you receive the Arcane Edge that lowers your Sims focus by 50 points for several hours so don't be alarmed.  Make sure to give it to the blacksmith -- either during the same quest or a future quest -- since the blacksmith forges the Doomstaff.

mtglady-

Thank you for replying. I have gotten the arcane edge and forged the Doomstaff (it looks totally awesome!). I even got the Doomsword hilt and blade. The problem now is that I cannot find the books for the Angels talon and the Doomsword. Supposedly a dwarf offers both of them to you on a random event in the forest but I have spent days in the forest and seen every mission several times and there is no dwarf! Is there ANY other way to get the books for the forging of those 2 swords? I dont think that my game has a dwarf in it....

While I haven't actually gotten the Doomsword book, I can vouch that forging books do come from taking a stroll in the forest.  You receive two books- mine were for the Angel Talon and some priestly Watcher staff.  I got them while trying to get Arcane Edge... so it doesn't have to be your Blacksmith taking all of those strolls.  Maybe one of your other Sims will have better luck?  And, of course, having a super-high mood score will do wonders.  I got mine when my wizard drank the fortune boosting potion...  I don't think it actually did anything beyond provide a sizable mood buff, but I like to pretend it helped.  Hooray for harmless superstitions.

...also, where do the hilt and blade come from?  I haven't found either of them in the forest, village, or docks, so I'm kinda curious.  Do you have to jump into the beast's pit or something?

Doomsword blade comes from "Jump Into Pit" interaction, random event asking for a choice roll to "Right" or "Left", i picked "Left" and got the blade. You have to feed the beast 3 - 4 times before jumping, though.

YEs, that is how I got the Doomsword pieces. I fed the beast EVERYTIME before I jumped into the pit. Eventually you will get to the point where you max out and you cannot feed the beast anymore (I think its about 20-25 feeds). After I reached this point, it was about the 5th jump and I got the Doomsword blade by choosing the left option as previously mentioned. I had been trying for days to get the interaction where I encounter the dwarf that gives the books with no luck! I will try again today though....do you know if it matters what quest I am on when I go into the forest? Can I encounter the dwarf during the free time quest or does it have to be on an official quest? Also, if you enable cheats you can max out the mood meter, the hunger and the energy meter. Carl has details about how to enable those cheats on his guide so all you have to do is enable the cheats and you can drag both the hunger and energy meters to max whenever you wish, or type in the code "setmood supermax" to maximize the mood meter instead of bothering with buffs and potions.
