Fighting off a mummy?

So Athena was in Egypt exploring the Pyramid if the Wind, I think. And when she got to the end she collected her relics when a mummy appeared. (Okay I knew the mummy was there, I had my vamp fight it once.) Almost automatically I was going to use my escape dust when I didn't have any! I had no choice but to fight the mummy, I did and lost. And it occurred to me that every time I fight a mummy my Sims lose. Is there anyway of actually winning? Do I need to know Sim Fu? Or maybe the Athletic Skill? Any help would be appreciate it.

I remember that there was something about this in the guide. I'll find it for you. I think it said mummies were level 10 at Sim Fu! Yikes!

Although I don't see the thing about mummies being level 10 martial artists, so I'm either crazy or blind, or that was something that got corrected.

Thaks I got my Sim started in Sim Fu right away.

None of my Sims have ever actually fought a mummy - I just don't trust them to win.  But in case you weren't aware of it, another way of dealing with a mummy is to have mummy snacks in your inventory.  Throw one or two at the mummy, and while the mummy is eating, your Sim can make a getaway.

I know about them I just don't know where to find them, I get my escape dust using cheats.

You need to find the special merchant and you pay them in ancient coins. Check the world map while abroad.

Ok so I go click on the Sim but there is no Buy Objects?
I have plenty of acient coins, over 2,000 to be exact.

To buy items from the Special Merchant, you need to have at least Visa level 1.  As your Visa level increases, you will be able to buy more items.

Yeah my Sim is on level 2.

A Sim with Level 2 visa and ancient coins should be able to buy from the Special Merchant.  I'm not sure why that option isn't coming up for you.  Have you had your Sim introduce him/herself to the Merchant?  Then, when they're talking, if the option to buy doesn't appear, the only thing I can think of is that it may be a glitch or bug.
