Moving Sims out after kids reach young adults. XBOX 360

The title says it all. I don't want my Sim son to vanish but, I have triplets now and I need the space. Any help from console gamers?

I don't think it's possible to do this without vanishing someone from game-play. Unless you can move everybody you want to a new home, and just leave your Sims son at the last home you were at? As usual make sure you save before trying anything that you aren't sure of though.
