Same-sex relationships in stories are perfectly fine. As you said, they're a part of the game that EA more or less embraces.

I am merging this with the Story Rules thread, though, as questions about story content should go there. :)

The rules don't say anything about double-posting, so can I get clarification on this? I try to keep my chapters manageably short, but if I cut them at common sense points, I need to post 3-5 back-to-back updates for every stretch of game play that I have.

I don't mind double, triple (etc) posting if you don't, because waiting for comments can be frustrating, but I'm going to wind up giving up too quickly if I have to keep backing out of the game to post parts of the story (and I'll wind up playing through it without writing it, which is important to me).

When writing a story, is fine to post a few updates in a row. Yo don't have to wait for comments before you post again. :)

2. Limit screenshots to no more than 25 per post. The preferred size for the Forum is 800x600.
Do collages count as 1 screenshot or the amount of screenshots in it?

It should actually say images instead of screenshots.  A collage is one image and you're limited to 25 images per post.  I hope this helps.

I'm not too good with photobucket as it never works on my laptop really, so I can't post many screenshots - are they essentials for each post, or can some updates just be text? Also, are words such as "bloody" and "**" allowed, as they're not really swearing?

Photos are not required at all. Text updates are fine. Add for the language,  the first word is considered swearing in some places, so we'll have to say no. The other word was caught in our profanity filter and replaced with asterisks, so it's also considered inappropriate. Thank you for checking first.

I am new to Carl's guide and I am wondering how you exactly go about writing a story here? Do I just create a new topic? Sorry for the newbie question I just would love to start my own crazy legacy.XD

Hi mpart,

There are places under both the Sims 3 and Sims 4 part of the forum for new stories, and legacies.

Go into one of them (based on whether you are using Sims 3 or Sims 4) and yes, you just create a new topic.

Then, when you're ready to make a new post, go to the same topic and make a reply.

Welcome to the site and guide and I hope I've answered your question properly. :)

Regards, Dek

It was phased out. To post pictures, you'll need to set up an account with one of the free image hosting sites on the internet.

There are links on these forums to tel you how to do that and which ones to use. I believe that imagur or a name like that is quite popular. Photobucket is another option. I have my own website which I pay for and host my images on that.
