New Badges and Ballet Moves
« on: June 22, 2011, 08:36:14 PM »
I have sims who are in ballet and scouting activities, and I got popups saying that they got a new badge and learned a new move. Can I see them at all?

Have them "show off" to someone else.  I don't remember the actual command but I think it is under Friendly actions.

The command to Show Off is actually a menu, just like Friendly and Funny. Some options I saw in it were "Show Off... Badges", "...Tie Knot" and "...Salute" from the scouting lessons.

Do they lose these interactions when they age up?

Okay, that's cool, if not a little weird. Can both genders do both activities? It'd be nice to have both sets of interactions for supreme bragging privileges. ;)

I know girls can do both, but I haven't tried with any boys yet. But I don't see why they wouldn't since the girls can.

However, I think they are on the same days, so you would have to do one, then switch to the other after learning all of the stuff in the first.

That's the plan! 8)

Are ballet and scouting activities, rabbit hole events? How do I get my children Sims to attend scouting or ballet? Are they what you call "after-school activities"? thanks!  :)

Hello Athena,

Yes, ballet and scouting are after school activities. They take place in the school rabbit hole after school time, 3 afternoons per week.
You can register at the school itself.

You can also register on the computer. Teens get more choices of different after school activities.

Does ballet improve dancing for future club dancing? Has anyone gotten that far?

What skills do they learn in scouting?

They learn Fishing, as far as I figured. But one of the kids went to Scouting classes only for a week, and graduated from it, so his fishing only got as far as 3. I haven't tested the ballet yet.

Scouting teaches fishing and gardening actually, not just fishing. I'm really interested to know what Ballet teaches but it doesn't feel right to send my funky prankster daughter to it.
