Video Footage on TV is "Jerky"
« on: June 20, 2011, 04:31:12 PM »
I've taken some footages with the new High Quality Camera and when I play them back the playback is always jerky and laggy so it like moves from Frame to Frame but skips a lot. Is there a way to improve the playback without putting pressure on my PC?

Hmm, it works for me. Have you tried restarting?

I have not tried the videos since a restart, although I took one recently and that was the same.

My one's absolutely fine, and I use lowest possible graphics. I have noticed if when you record the game is laggy, the exact same jerks are in the video. Are you sure you're using the high quality video? You get a moodlet if you are.

I am sure it is the High Quality Camera, I've only tried on the LN Celeb TV so far.

I have 15,000 on household funds with 7 sims and I need to buy 2 cars that actually runs. I will see with the money I'll have left if I can buy a better TV and try.

I used the high quality video camera and then I bought a high quality TV and tested it. Have you tried that? I think the quality of the TV adds into how smooth the video is.

I bought the most expensive TV I can find (LN TV) and it's still the same. Maybe it's just our game, I mean mine has gotten slower since the last patch. Oh, well. It keeps skipping the best part! When Grammie hits her face in the water slide  ;D
EDIT: It's definatly our computers, my sister's laptop is new and her videos look amazing! She is not even using the high-quality camera. Am jelous of her. ::)

Weird isn't it? I got that too with the same television you've mentioned. Try using the most expansive one from buy mode samoht. I'm sure that one will do.

And a sim get a moodlet from using the best camera? Not in my game. That's odd.

Name of moodlet: "High Quality Video" Details: "Mmn, there's nothing quite as satisfying as reference quality video displayed in pristine quality. There's a smug sense satisfaction knowing you have the best of the best". It's the boost you get from the high quality instead of the low quality. I wonder why you don't have it.

Maybe because that also didn't work on the television from Late Night. I could try the other tv. I asume that one will have the moodlet you've explained to me.
