It's not my intention to bash the game and I apologize if I sound like a complainer.  The game has  been a part of my life for so long, yet the recent frustrations have me thinking I'll take a break too.  By mentioning my game problems I'm hoping somebody  will have a solution.
Now I know I can turn off the memories thing and that is a big help.  I'm also holding off buying Generations after reading about the bugs, so that helps too.

If that isn't allowed. I will no longer post things that are perceived as negative.

Your post was fine. No one crossed the line. Pam was only firing a shot across the bow to make people aware of that fine line.

I have had similar issues.  I actually emailed EA games with my list.  I hope it helps.  I like many aspects of generations, but I am seriously thinking of uninstalling it until a new patch comes out.

I am hoping EA can and will fix some of these issues.

I'm just really grateful I pushed hard to finish my immortal dynasty before I installed Generations.  I have been really lucky so far with all my other SPs and EPs that I haven't had too many bugs.  I understand it is just part of the software development cycle, but I have had to delete 2 attempts at another immortal dynasty and 1 attempt at a townie decadynasty and I am feeling unhappy and frustrated at the moment.  I am finally resorting to a full uninstall/reinstall in the hopes that perhaps my problems are because I did something wrong during the initial installation.  If this doesn't work then I, too, will take a break from TS3 until the next patch comes out.  Perhaps my favorite MMORPG has been patched enough that it will be fun to play again for a while...

My bug, just encountered, is weird rather than game-breaking: When instructed to play the guitar, my sim started spinning it around over his head. The sound is normal, and he's learning the skill normally, and his other hand is in the right position for guitar playing...but the guitar is rotating, and it doesn't even stop rotating when I pause the game.

I'm planning to suck this one up unless someone knows a fix (quitting and restarting didn't help, selling and replacing the guitar didn't help - I haven't tried resetting the sim yet), since it's annoying rather than game-breaking, but I hope it's not a symptom of something more serious.

I had the same thing happen late in my Starr dynasty - around generation 6.  It appeared to be a random thing - it wouldn't always happen and it happened to several different sims.  I didn't notice any ill effects from it, it just looks really weird.

This is an old glitch in the game.  It doesn't happen often.  It should clear itself up when you restart the game, or it may take resetting the Sim.

I'm not exactly sure what the original purpose of this topic was, but it seems to going in different directions.  I'm going to lock it and everyone can either find existing topics or start new ones for specific bugs.
