I always forget to mention the new traits! Renesmee's new trait is brave. Of course I will mention it in the next chapter, which I am writing right now. :)

Chapter 16 - Lori, continued...

Lori
Everything has happened so quickly. We have a new member of the household, and he has grown into the family and fitted in very well. I am of course talking about Max. When we first brought Max to our home, we were thinking of him as an extra helping hand and another friend to all, but he became much more than that. Not just best friend to every member of our family, but also like a big brother to all our children. He has gone to unbeliavable depths just to bring us something amazing. We have a new house that Max planned himself. The Dreamhouse 2.0. But before I get into that, I must tell you about our very last day in our old house. Although of course, we didn't know it was our last day. That last day happens to be Ben and Nick's birthday! They are children now..

That's Ben.

And that's Nick.
Nick's new trait is Lucky and Ben's is.. Daredevil. Why does their always have to be a mischevious twin? ::)
It was a fun party, but it wasn't just our guests leaving the house. Max was quick to get us all out of there. He kept dropping hints around Taylor about a new romantic movie on at the cinema, and how he should take me. He told Melissa about that game at the stadium and told Renesmee that there was an event going on at the library specially for Genius sims. Nick went to the game with Melissa, and Ben went 'cliff diving'. (freaking out and then going to catch up with Melissa and Nick so he could go to the game as well.) Annalie didn't need told to go any place, she was already on her way to the beach to go fishing.

When we came back, we came back to this..

It was awesome! Way better than our old house. We just couldn't thank Max enough!
We were all so tired. That night, Taylor and I dreamt of our lives together..

..but we know it has practically just begun.
Our first proper day in the Dreamhouse 2.0 was my own birthday!

I am now an adult. Notice Renesmee in the background of that picture, there? I am a little worried about her new look..

Maybe this experimantation with makeup, hair and clothes is just all part of her new brave trait.. But I was happy to see she had gone back to her usual playing of chess later on in the day.

Ben and Nick got a chance to socialise with each other.

And then friendly Nick went on to chat with his father about athletics.

As did I, with Melissa.

I went on to paint a portrait of Melissa.

While Taylor worked on his own guitar skill which, admittedly he has been slacking on recently..

Even Melissa tried out a new skill!

Writing! Who would have thought it?
Max had a wish to invent a.. Time Machine!

So now we have one in our very own back yard..
As you can see, it's night time. Everyone is asleep, now. Except Taylor, Max and I. Taylor's in the Hot Tub..

..and I am just about to join him, until max stops me on the way to the door.

Max says he has something in the kitchen for me. I am wary, because he has a strange tone in his voice. I sincerely hope he is not going to try anything even remotely in that direction, or I am afraid he is getting kicked out of the house he himself has built..
But it was nothing like that. As I ate the glorious dish max had prepared for me, he explained to me what it was..

I am immortal. Max watched, with a tear in his eye.

He hasn't just given me a new house. The house is nothing compared to what else he has given me: He has given me eternity.

Author's Note: I hope you all liked the update. I was going to end it at the shot of Taylor and Lori asleep but I think that is too short. I am also putting up the new Dreamhouse on the Swap Shop later today for anyone who wants it. I will put the link here, of course. Thank you for reading. :)

Amazing fez, love the house, Still I have a couple of suggestions before you put in the swap shop, because I really want it, you should add more spray paint, under the landscaping and in the back yard it gives a more realistic feeling ;) , also maybe some Asphalt painting under the parking spots  ::) the house is goargous, can't wait to have a better look at it :)

You've done an amazing job building the house, Fez! The boys look great as children, love Ben's hairstyle.

I also adore the last photo, of Max. Well done! Awesome update.

Thank you! And lol it was a modern remodel of Curtis Pardis's Paradise Hilltop Mansion house (which I forgot to mention) so don't feel too bad. ;)

Thank you. :) Do you mean different types of grass type spray paint? Also, I kind of did the car thing deliberately lol. I kind of like the random 'Here are some cars' look it gives, haha. I'll go back to the house today and see what I can do, although it'll be a little tricky as I've already placed the family inside. Thank you for your suggestions and for reading! :D

Thanks, Chronic. I'm pretty sure I got Ben's hair from the store. I think his hair matches his mad personality. ;)

yeah I meant different kinds of grass /dirt under plants/stone and rocks in the playing ground, I see the "here are some cars" thing, I am a car enthusiast so I usually build Big garages for them ? I don't want any klepto guests messing around them

It's just that the cars aren't actually meant to come with the house in the Swap Shop, lol. There was a separate little building as the garage in the original model but I got rid of it to make space for the windmills. I see what you mean about the landscaping, I'll try and fit some different terrain paints in around the plants and playground and pond. Thanks. :)

Oh, t's not a rule or anything, it's just that I decided I wouldn't include the cars because it just adds onto the price of the house.

Ah! How infuriating! I was just beginning to design the house again with the new terrains when I realised that one of the members of the house has aged up and therefore their entire room has been redecorated.. I couldn't possibly decorate it again to match how it was in the photos before, and also I have already exported the house. I'm really sorry. I guess the house will just have to go up as it is. :(

Chapter 17 - Changing Renesmee (PART I)

Renesmee
The bell rang and we made our way through the crowded hallways to the door. The moment we had been frustratingly awaiting since an hour ago. Well I, an hour ago, some others.. more like since the moment they walked in. The end of the school day. It felt like not a minute had passed before I was standing in front of the bookstore, where I worked, ready to begin my few hours of utter bliss in the Classics section. I was greeted with a smile from Curtis Rosewood, a boy that also worked in the store. Curtis is much younger than me, he only turned into a teen last week. I rarely see him at school, so it's nice to be able to see him here.

Curtis is a good friend of mine, he's that sort of friendly go-to guy that people tend to approach for advice, a good chat or simply a hug when you're feeling down. We get on very well, especially as we share three of our four traits. He's very close to being my best friend. Im glad to have Curtis.
"Tell me it's been a good day?" he said. Curtis knows of my problems and is one of the few people I've told who I can see genuinely cares.
"It's been average." I whispered, wary of nosy Betty, the regular customer who is forever sticking her nose into our conversations, sitting nearby.
"That's alright." said Curtis. He then went on to tell me of his own day, while stacking novels from the big box of bestsellers we had just got in.
Curtis has problems, too. He's not a genius, like me, but he still gets made fun of for things like not being in the popular crowd and so on. Silly things. He's great about it, though. He doesn't let it get to him. "Who wants to be part of that crowd, anyhow? All they do is constantly play pranks, never touch their homework and get out of their curfew every day. That's nothing to be proud of." he'd say. And I'd agree.
"Yeah, who needs popularity?" I muttered, sort of half-heartedly. Don't get me wrong, I do agree with Curtis, but we've had this talk a thousand times..
"You're looking nice today, Renesmee." He said softly. I could tell he had been holding this sentence in for a while.

No, he does not fancy me. I knew quite well what he was hinting at. And that is yesterday's outfit.

He saw the annoyed face I made at him.
"What?"
"I liked it."
"Yeah? Well you looked like one of those bachelor party entertainers. I didn't even recognise you!"
"Can't a girl experiment with style?"
"Not if she's going to turn out looking like a showgirl from Bridgeport."
"Oh my.. oh no you did NOT!" I smirked and playfully shoved Curtis's arm, causing him to lose balance, keel backwards into the children's play area and stand on a toddler's foot. It was hilarious.
"Hahaha!" My tummy was hurting from laughing.. then I saw Curtis's face. Rid of amusement, not the slightest smile. My tummy hurt again, but for a different reason.
"I was being serious. No more changing." He said.
"But.."
"Shift's over."
I looked at the clock and yes, it was time to go home.

I sulked up to 15 Summerhill Court, passing Melissa and Benjamin playing catch.

Hm. Into the dining room.. where Annalie was frantically scribbling down equations on her school notebook, along with Nicholas. There was also another notebook next to Annalie, with some writing on it that I couldn't see from where I was standing..

I moved closer.. Melissa's name was at the top of the notebook, signalling that this homework belonged to her. In the center, Mel had left a note:
'Annalie, do this. I'm busy. I will pay you in pink marshmallows. I ran out of purple.'
I rolled my eyes. Annalie saw.
"Don't even think of telling me to not do it. I need those marshmallows."
"And do you think Mel really has any marshmallows?"
"Yes. She showed me."
Hm. Did she now.. Sometimes it's no use arguing with Annalie. This is one of those times. I felt for my little sister, having to spend even more time on something so boring, while her sister had such fun outside.

Melissa needs to learn a lesson..

At first, I contemplated telling Mum.. but then I remembered how over-emotional Mum was. She'd be more the type to cry than do anything else. Plus, she was busy..

Then I contemplated telling Dad, but he was busy, too..

Nicholas had finished his homework and was away at the local pool having a swim, despite us owning our own pool. Hmm..

..and so that leaves Benjamin, who had finished his game of catch with Mel. Well, hello Benjamin.

Melissa didn't look too happy at being asked to clean up.. ha.

I had some work of my own to do. I have a new skill to start. Well, there's no point in being athletic if you don't do athletics!

Erm.. sorry, I believe those were the wrong photos. Let me just look for those nice ones where I look effortlessly cool and sexy while exercising. Ahh, here they are!

Erm.. Sorry.. 'technical difficulties'. Hehe..

Author's (massive) Note: Yey! This is going to be a chapter split into three parts. It is an important chapter and is regarding the heir's difficult teen years. As I have mentioned in previous comments, Renesmee is indeed going to sadly give up to the popular crowd's charm. But I won't give too much away. ;)
Also, some of you may recognise the character of Curtis Rosewood from CandyHeartedSim's Rosewood Legacy which is an awesome legacy. Curtis is one of the children of the founder, and I saw him on the swap shop and decided I'd like to feature him in my own legacy. Curtis is going to be playing a very important role in this chapter and also later on in a storyline between Melissa and Annalie, who I feel should be more involved in my plots, despite not being the heir. You can download Curtis here. Sadly, Edit Town isn't working right for me and although I have downloaded and installed Curtis, he isn't appearing in my library or bin for me to place him into my town. This is very, very annoying and if I don't find out a way to fix the problem then he won't be in the town, therefore I won't be able to take screenshots of him and that means he can't feature in the Annalie/Melissa storyline. This is beyond annoying, I hope I find a fix! Anyways, soz for this massive note and thanks for reading, as always! ^_^

Great update, but why does Renesmee want to change so badly? I don't really want her looking like a 'Bridgeport showgirl' (to quote Curtis), either.
