A Question about Save Files
« on: June 07, 2011, 09:46:44 AM »
Hi everyone,

Here is my question: will a save file that was firstly created in a Sims game that has WA/AMB open in a Sims game that has only LN/GEN? Rather bizarre, I know. The case is that the file in question is my Dynasty file that was created on my laptop (which has only WA/AMB), while my PC has only LN/GEN, and I really want my heroes to try the clubs and stuff out. I mean, will they lose anything associated with the first two EPs (sculptures, skills, careers, etc.)? Or, will those be temporary hidden in game files and re-appear once I put the file back into my laptop?

I have no idea, so I thought I'd ask. Please help me if you can. Thank you. :)

Oh, yeah. I can almost guarantee you you're begging for a disaster there, Chronic. If you're trying to open a file where the Sims have access to expansion-only content (skills, objects, etc) on a computer that does not have that content...it can't be good.

Hm, then they'll have to keep on wishing for clubs and pranks, lol. My laptop doesn't have enough HDD space and the PC can't be overstuffed or it'll crash (plus it's a shared computer). Anyways, thanks Metro. :)
