I was playing Riverview and adjusted the life span slider up for my sims for the child, teen, YA and adult phases. I can't say for sure, but it seems to me that the NPC sims are aging faster than my sims. The sim I started with is still a young adult, but Betty Simovitch is now an old crone. Anyone else notice aging discrepancies after adjusting the life span slider?

I'm kind of wondering the same thing. When I played my Stevie Wonder character over the last 4 or 5 days for the new Guide article on the Daycare career, Stevie aged fine — he was just at the default setting. But, it seemed like everyone else started dropping like flies. I was constantly getting the "Simx is getting pretty old. Now might be a good time to visit Sim x" notices.

I've had that problem too. I had two female sims born right after each other, then I moved the older one out when she was an adult and played with her as the active household. And later in the game, I saw that her younger sister had become an elder before the older sister. I haven't touched the life span sliders though, and I haven't noticed anything like this until I installed Generations. It may have nothing to do with the new expansion though... I just happened to notice it with Generations.

I think townies don't switch over to new settings for aging until the end of their current life cycle, which isn't so good for elders! :o

Mine too! I have had 4 people die in 1 week! That's alot! I keep getting notices, and then a simday after I get another pop-up saying that sim died. I had Summer's boyfriend age up 10 days before her and he was a Teen. How is that possible? I have teens set for 15 days, YA for 25, Adult for 25, and elders for the max. (100-and something.)
Can someone tell me what NCPs mean? I know they are the town's sim, but not the term.

I'm sure what was meant was NPC, Non Player Character.

I knew it was Non-playable something. Thanks.

Um - I have been thinking that the NPC aging is going faster than regular aging too, but I can't be sure - it seems that way, but I might be making that up...

I just noticed that too. the neighbourhood teens have all turned into young adults and my active teen still has 17days to go.
I have settings set on teens for 100days.
