Just to clarify, are the new lots that come with Town Life strictly substitutes for the existing lots, or can you place them in a town and keep the existing lot too? For example, can you have a Hogan's Diner and a Scrumptious Nibbles Cafe in the same town, or do you have to choose one over the other?

Most of the clothing looks awesome, but I'm not a big fan of the oompa loompa outfit for girls. It looks a little too costumed for something a little girl would wear every day.

I am going to take a guess here, and say that you can probably have one of each and they will both work  :)

Hey guys I'm taking an extended hiatus... again. I'm out of ideas to build houses and I don't have as much fun designing homes like I used to; it feels more like a chore. So that's where I'll be, I will probably be back sometime. :P

Thanks for posting pictures, Pam! The buildings look pretty amazing, rabbit hole or not. :)

I need to clarify about the cafe I showed earlier.  It should have replaced the Bistro, not Hogan's Diner.  It's got the same hours and map tag that the Bistro has.

Thanks pallyndrome! And yes when I was watching the interview with the people who made the stuff pack they said there is a new treehouse.

I think TLS came out yesterday in America? I know it comes out on the 29th here in the UK, though.

I just adore the new building items you can put on your houses and stuff, especially that awesome door with the square design. It's a modern-style-lover's dream! :D

Well, I'm so disappointed they are still rabbit holes.  Really, the first info out made it sound like you could actually walk around in and interact with the new buildings.  I haven't even installed mine yet, but that's because I've been working on challenges and don't want to take a chance messing anything up.

That Oompa Loompa outfit really is more fitting for a toddler, not a child.  I can remember our little one wearing something like that as a two year old.  Only the bottom part is up closer to their little tushie and poofs out a bit more.  It's to accommodate diapers I imagine, and looks really cute on toddlers.  I can't imagine a child wearing it though.  They would put up such a huge fight over it!

EDIT:  Ok, I'm annoyed.  As far as I can see I totally wasted the money on this SP.  Sure, there are some cute bits and bobs, but for the most part it is a serious disappointment.

Library:  Landscaping gets a 10, interior decor gets a negative number it is so poor in my opinion.  Muddy colors, badly laid out, not that many books, seating looks uncomfortable to say the least, not to mention unattractive.  And get this, LAP TOPS!  Really, people?  Lap tops?  In a public building?  Hello, can we say theft waiting to happen?  And two toilets for the whole building.  Wasted space everywhere.  It is just gruesome.  And has anyone seen any skill books?

Cafe:  Ok, we have a winner here.  Yes, it is still a rabbit hole but it is attractive, well laid out, and you can peek inside to what may in the future be space actually used by Sims.  Not bad on this one.

Gym:  OMG!  It reminds me more of a dungeon or prison than a gym.  Talk about dreary, cramped, wasted space, poorly laid out and insufficient sanitation.
And how come guys get TWO showers on the ground floor and women have to climb upstairs for ONE shower?  Again, cute windows and stuff but any member of this forum could have, and probably has built a better gym.

Laundromat:  Again, kudos on the landscaping and cute windows and stuff.  However, again it is poorly laid out, and what, you are going to go upstairs while waiting to play on ONE foosball table or go stand outside on the useless deck?  And as with all the other buildings, too many parking spots to slow the game down.  I much prefer the one Zapkid made, thank you because this one in the SP is less than even nice.

School:  Ewwww!  It looks like they recycled the hospital for this one.  Grounds are ok but it has even less to offer than the other buildings.

Grocery:  Again, it is simply a recycle of what was already there.  So they changed the siding.  So what!?  It is same old, same old with a different cover.  Yes, it would look good in a more modern setting and yes it can change the entire aspect of a town, providing all the other buildings ALSO provide the same kind of aspect.  So you have this modern grocery next to good old Wilsonoff Theater.  How good is that going to look?

Small Park:  They shouldn't have bothered.  It's ok, but it's not great and again has that muddy, dreary look about it.  Even the park in BP has more appeal than this one, although it does have a lot of kids things in it.  Really, couldn't they have brightened it up?  Or maybe it's just a park for the undead.  Again, our builders could have and have done much better.

As far as I'm concerned this was a modified fail.  Bits of good stuff mixed in with the majority of  ho-hum and downright bad.  Just my opinion.

What?  Grannies can't play games?
I speak perfect Nooblik, (and some Simlish)!

But Joria, at least you have now something to improve. And you can work with much more objects and windows than you could before.

Especially for the people who don't have Ambitions nor Generations the possibility of having a laundromat and a treehouse in one cheaper than one of those expansions pack this could be a blessing.
