I was just wondering on the subject of strollers if they can be stood still with the child still in them, so the parent can stop to talk to someone etc.  ;)

You gotta love those bunkbeds! Hang on a minute-spiral stairs... what spiral stairs have I missed something?

The spiral staircases are my absolutely favorite new item, but the bunk and loft beds are a close second.  I think EA really put a lot of thought into the details that would make the game even more enjoyable and for that I'm truly grateful.

Oh my goodness what a great thread you started here!

I am so excited about all of the new objects in the game it is hard to pick just a few. I really love decorating and building in the game and the new decor objects just make me silly happy, especially if they can hang on the wall. I just finished a child's room with the new beds and the butterfly pattern for wall covering and it turned out really cute. Anybody see the little heart with baby foot/hand print on it that you can hang on the wall as a keepsake? It is adorable! I love anything that I can place the trinkets and rewards on and the plant additions are amazing too. There are new lighting options too that are nice. My favorite would have to be the new baby stuff, kids toys and decor objects to choose from. The new stuff is so refreshing. EA finally gets a thumbs up for these wonderful additions.  :)

The Spouse of my Dynasty Heir gave her some Flowers and when I looked in her Inventory there were some flowers there! You can use them to decorate and place around! I then sent him to go buy some apples and other ingredients where I noticed you can buy all of the Flower types in the Supermarket!  :)

You buy canes in Buy Mode as well, you know, so I believe they do defiantly count as objects.
And I love them too! :D

catlover - I love the new decor objects and trinkets too. If you like decorating, you might want to show us your works on the official building/remodeling show boat thread - it's in the building section.

I have seen several Paparzzi with Canes so it seems like they get given at random to other Townie/NPC Elders!  :)

To go with canes, I love the "Southern Gentlemen" type walk instead of "Geriatric".

Flowers are lovely, and they can display them which is awesome.  The loft beds are awesome too because you can put things under them... however even though a crib fits, you can't use the bed if there is someone in the crib.  :(

Can someone tell me where the shelves are hiding? I've looked all through the new objects and haven't been able to find them. I've looked in decor, kids, storage and just about every where.

On my computer starting with "sort by function"
under "Surfaces"
under "Miscellaneous Surfaces"  are the old shelves
under "Displays" are the new Generation shelves

and investigating the shelves only the generation shelves can move up and down on the wall, and not the old shelves... how odd.

I love all the little knickknacks and decorative items, but I adore the Teapot Clock.  It seems so grandmotherly and sweet and I really love that.  I also love the strollers and the "go for stroll" action.  I just wish they had a double stroller for twins for those single parents.

Yes, this. ;D I love all the new nursery/kids items, especially the stuffed dragon and the butterfly wall hanging.  Those are super cute and it is easier now to make more personalized bedrooms. Oh, with kids items, I also love the turtle sand box.  I loved sandboxes as a kid.  :)

I thought I read somewhere that there would be a double stroller, but I sure don't see one.  Does anyone else remember seeing this or am I just dreaming?
