A couple of questions about the water slide.
« on: June 03, 2011, 06:01:43 PM »
First of all, is it just me, or do all Sims in general autonomously can't go more than 2 seconds without using the water slide? Because my Sims will only take a break to eat, sleep, go to school/work, or use the bathroom. Once their need are up, and their homework is done, they autonomously go back to the water slide, and won't stop using it, until their needs are low enough. Secondly, with the daycare profession, did one of the parents stick around, just to use the water slide? Because, that actually just happened to me, she came over with her toddler, to my house, and the whole time I was on the clock, she was using the water slide. As soon as I purchase the water slide, all my Sims got the wish to play on the water slide.

Second: I have the option, to use the water slide, or play with water toys. Is there a difference between the two? The reason why I ask, is because when I do select the option "Play with Water Toys" they just slide on the water slide like normal. Or, it seems to me they do. Or am I missing something?

I'm curious, to how your Sims reacted to the water slide.

Note to Pam: I don't think buying Uriah a water slide sounds like a good idea, based on my experience, I shared with you. I am curious as to if the rest of you guys had the same water slide experience too.

My sims never use the water slide unless I tell them to. Mostly my kids just hang out with their imaginary friends and my adults are too busy to play (baby boomer challenge)

My Sims constantly want to use the waterslide - both children and adults especially if they have the 'Loves the Outdoors' trait.  I always have to stop that action to have them do what I want them to do ;D.

@ jeanamariex3 - When I click on the 'play with water toys' options, they also play in the sprinklers.

Are you talking about the sprinklers on the water slide?

My childish Sims have a harder time than most staying away from the waterslide too. The only Sim that refused to use the waterslide, in my game was Nick Alto. When I forced him on, he hated it with a purple passion. Must be his hydrophobic trait.

Thank you for the Alpha Waves Aquarium too.  :)

No, I am talking about the lawn sprinklers.  I am sure someone with the 'hydrophobic trait' would hate anything to do with water.
I am glad you liked the Alpha Waves Aquarium.  I sure like mine and my Simmies do too ;).

Yes my Simmies love the aquarium. Especially watching the bubbles. ;D

Okay, so I decided to do a grownup version of Pam's toddler races using the water Slides:
1. I took to water slides and lined them up so they're parallel.
2. I turned the free will off.
3. I lined up the two Sims, (obviously past the toddler stage), and lined them up evenly.
4. I paused my game completely, then clicked the "Play" interaction, on both Sims.
5. I put the game back on play, normal speed.

I got the idea from Pam's toddler races, and decided to make my own version of it: Jeana's Water Slide Races.  ;D
