I'm very glad to hear that there are some LTWs for this expansion: It feels like it makes these things more important.

I Would love you could buy an empty residential lot and make it your own ranch :)

Well, you can already by buying out properties. And you also can be the owner of a venue, if you have Ambitions installed. I think that will do it, but with Pets on it's own, I can not tell. Not yet.

Thanks for the idea! I didn't think of that! You can make venues private. Now my penthouse loving sim can have her own riding ranch in Bridgeport! To chauffeur: "Take me to the ranch now, James".

I was the chauffer for my daughters and husband to go horse riding. So, now, my virtual self, can demand someone else "take me there"!

I'm curious what "the Ark Builder" LTW would be.
This LTW requires you to own:
- 2 cats
- 2 dogs
- 2 horses
- 2 birds
- 2 reptiles
- 2 rodents
- 2 snakes
- 2 butterflies
- 2 beetles

Haha, wonderful LTW. Though it doesn't seem to be that difficult. Unless EA has restricted our sims in the beginning to have only one pet per household. Otherwise I see a run to the petstore to invest all in one.

Is that at once? Because I think there's a ten-thing household. (I say thing because I really don't know what the noun is. A sim and a pet. Is that a Set?)

My guess is that everything past cats, dogs, and horses doesn't count toward that household limit.  Like how the beetles and butterflies live in terrariums, the others may be similar.

Only six pets per household. The pets that count are the controlable pets. Horses, dogs and cats. All the others you can have as many as you can afford. So:
2 Dogs + 2 Cats = 4 Pets + 2 Horses = 6. There you already have your 6 controlable pets, plus part of the LTW. Now you just need to get the little critters, which do NOT count towards your household because they cannot be controlled.
-2 birds
- 2 reptiles
- 2 rodents
- 2 snakes
- 2 butterflies
- 2 beetles
Does this make sense?

Totally.
I thought it was stated already that only cats, dogs and horses would be controllable. But now it seems that the game counts the rest, at least.

Yep. The birds, rodents and snakes need to be bought and the beatles and butterflies caught. I agree that this LTW is way too easy as you can do all this in a day.

There must be something else to it, it does sound easy for a Single Sim or a Couple, who are in no rush to have kids.

I totally random idea here, but maybe there is some sort of visa level system for pets so you have to have a certain level to be allowed to have certain pets.
