Well actually, horses do sleep standing up in real life. But only in dangerous situations, the rest of the time they lay down. So... EA messed up a little then?

I don't think EA messed up. I used to own horses and they slept standing up in the pasture all the time. I don't think they felt endangered, either. In fact, it seemed that they only ever laid down to roll in mud haha.

And I'm not sure which link, but one of them on this thread mentioned allergies. Does anyone know more about this?

In terms of horses in real life, I'm not an expert but I do know that they sleep standing up most of the time. In fact, because of their weight, horses would literally suffocate if they slept lying down on their stomachs because they can't expand their lungs enough for sufficient oxygen exchange. So you will usually see horses sleeping standing up or lying on their sides, mostly standing up. EA has it right on this count.

I don't remember which articale it was, but I do remember reading that yes, new traits will include having sims being allergic to dogs or cats, as well as being a cat or a dog person.  Though it's possible the cat or dog person might be set up seperatly like the zodiac sign is.

Hmmm, that would be kind of cool. But I hope that doesn't mean that born-in-game sims don't get a choice on whether they're dog or cat people, like how the zodiac signs are set up now.

Yes, that is something I actually can confirm (unless I'm misinformed myself): the wild horses (at least) can be tamed as your sim needs to to get them in the family.
I must have forgotten to mention this earlier. It was in one of the earlier trailers if I remember that correctly.

Really? That's pretty interesting. Do you have to tame all horses, though? Are you not allowed to create them? One of these links said something about over 100 breeds for each animal, and I assumed that meant horses, too. I guess I don't really understand how the horses are supposed to work. I watched about half of the 17 minute gameplay one, and they were controlling a horse in it. I have to admit I'll be a little disappointed if I can't create my own horse.

Yes you can create them in CAP. There were some pictures in SimPrograms where they were in CAP creating a horse.

We're going to need a new acronym.  When you said we could create a horse in CAP, VP, I automatically wondered why you would use Create-a-Pattern to make a horse.
