What's a exterminator? Something like terminator, but than different?
An exterminator is someone who kills rodents like, rats, possums, etc.

If they bring back the exterminator, maybe we'll see cockroaches again? And a new ghost type (disease - greenish)? yerk....

Or sometimes known as Pest Control.

Uhg, I hated Cockroaches in Sims 2. My sims were always stomping on them and getting sick.  ::)

It's basically just Arnold Swarzenegger sent from the future to kill your rats.

Or a poor, desperate person, pitifully clinging unto his pathetic profession, while working hard for a living, with barely enough money for bread. And he has a tool capable of exterminating all kinds of pests and animals. Including humans. and he needs the cash. and you have it.

I was just re-reading the file for the 6th time now and pets can save sims life. Maybe while drowning?

I'm going to show this to my friend, who's worked in the extermination business for about 20 years.  He should get a laugh out of it as he drives back to his $400,000 home that's already been paid off.  A lot of words describe that business and the people who work in it, but poor, desperate, pitiful and pathetic are not included in that list.  It's an industry of necessity, and those guys are never strapped for cash.

I'm not exactly looking forward to pests again.  I imagine there should be a nice glitch involving cockroaches where you can't get rid of them.

Hear, hear!  I totally agree.  I remember in Sims 2, my shop owner was always having to waste time spraying those stupid cockroaches because the bad witch kept dropping in and creating the pests and the exterminator wouldn't come to a community lot.

But back to the subject of the upcoming EP, does anybody know if there's going to be a Prima Guide for it?  Or a guide put out by another company, if Prima is no longer doing them?

Never played 2 so I had no idea they had roaches! That's sick. Anyways, Why do we need Prima? We have Carl!  ;D Carl's better and more accurate in my opinion.

The roaches in Sims 2 were not fun.  You had the option to stomp them yourself, which sounded like a good idea because it saved you the expense of the exterminator, right?  Wrong.  Your sim would get sick, usually for at least two days.  Their needs would drop at random and they were always miserable.  It was very contagious to other sims.  I had a very, very large family once, and the kids would often run outside to stomp roaches and then pass the sickness on to their brothers and sisters.  Hardly anyone was well for very long.  It was one of those things that you figure out once, you call the exterminator no matter what, and then you never have to learn again, you just remember.

Roaches drove me nuts. Ugh! However, I think the exterminator might be useful in the event the player accepts the challenge from purchasing a cheap home in the beginning. At least they can get rid of the rats now.  ;)

On the otherhand, already I'm digging the "Cat Person" trait option. Already, it's time for me and Pam to update our Simselves traits. (That didn't sound right) I'm guessing a cat lady might be in the new world included in the Expansion Pack. I have my future Sim planned out already.

That's not the case.  Prima Guides have a lot of great information, but they are done using the beta version of the game and some things change by the time it's released to the public and this causes errors in the Prima Guide.

The last I heard, the Prima Guides have been discontinued and I'm unaware of anything that's going to replace them.

That drove me nuts! Everyone in the family got sick! What do does rocahes carry? It was so annoying. I really hope we don't get that and if we do, at least we get this LTR No Rocahes Ever or something.

Aha, so already making up a No Bills Ever protege? :P That would be extremely useful actually. I don't think they'll bring back the disease aspect, so no worries. But I'm still gonna join the crowd and complain that all my TS2 families were infected. Curse you, TS2 roaches!
