The September 2 release date is incorrect.  I don't remember where I read it, but it's wrong.  Leto's link for the UK said October 21, 2011.  My Amazon.com for the US said October 31, 2011.  One of those dates may be a typo.  The US and UK don't normally have 10 days between release dates, do they?

Bol.com said 27-10-2011. So it seems to be something in the middle.
I would LAUGH out loud if Holland receives this game earlier than you normally lucky Americans. :D Espect a lot of teasing from me than!

Pam is off topic... :P
No, I didn't say that. But what I'm wondering now is how people can preorder the special edition all over the world when stores are not sure about the date. Although I have to admit that I don't know if Bol.com is always right in their date anouncement.

An actual release date that is nailed down has no impact on simply ordering something from any merchant. For example anyone could have visited Amazon in the last two years and tossed $60 to Amazon for Diablo III. Blizzard still has not made an official announcement on that game. Lol.

It says "Avaliable this Fall."  I read somewhere that it was in September 26/27. And I remember that because that's my sister's B-day.

That will be right after my birthday. Hmm, perhaps I could throw a very nice look at my sister, mother, sisters boyfriend... or some very nice members here. :) Who want to make me happy?

Oh I like it. I'm getting a great laugh out of the Grim Reaper riding the horse like he's Zorro. I hope this is the US cover too.

Haha, Leto, you make me laugh!
But sadly, I'll be so broke after buying my own copy of the game, I won't have a single cent left!

Yuck...that's one expansion I never bought for Sims. Taking care of pets was worse than taking care of babies.

I'm not sure how I feel about controllable pets, to be honest. I don't tend to enjoy playing large households, so I'm a bit concerned about the micromanaging that might be involved with having to keep track of the various wants, needs, and quirks of both my sims and their four-legged friends.

Having said that, of course I'll be getting this one.  :) I've thought from the first time I played that something was missing and that the houses and neighborhoods felt strangely empty. Maybe because aside from my college years when animals in the dorms were forbidden, I've never been without pets--mostly dogs and cats, but also assorted fish, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, and birds.

And I'm absolutely thrilled that they included horses. For one reason among many, my favorite toy growing up was a pink and gray My Little Pony, so I'd love to see if I could recreate it in the Sims.

I think I`ll enjoy the sim horses very much as well, most of all because they wont include the awful smell of the real ones. :P

Hey there, FrostFlower, welcome to the forum as I've never seen you around here before.
I think that, after some good rasing, education and managing in the begining to get your pets on track they could take care of themself. And sims will feed them when they need to eat. So perhaps you don't have to be to much afraid of controlling a whole herd of sims and animals at the same time.
I now am focussing on one sim at a time in my current savefile and saw that the others could take care of themself very well. They even go to their jobs at time (mostly).
But I agree with you: having controlable pets will definatly increase the difficulty level of this game. Which I personally will encourage actually! :D

I don`t see how it will increase the difficulty. Think about it, you can control toddlers right, does that make it more difficult, or does it mean that you can move them out of the way when insane daddy dearest is blowing up the dining hall for scrap to build his Simbot legion? Okay maybe not the best example ever. ;) But my point is that it will just make it easier to look after them by looking at their needs and having the ability to move them. I think it`ll be rather funny to be a horse, just taking a stroll through Sunset Valley central park like there is nothing out of the orfinary about that. :P

On second thought: you may be right about that. We will see how difficult this game is going to be in the nearby furure.
