I'm not sure how I feel about controllable pets, to be honest. I don't tend to enjoy playing large households, so I'm a bit concerned about the micromanaging that might be involved with having to keep track of the various wants, needs, and quirks of both my sims and their four-legged friends.
Having said that, of course I'll be getting this one.
I've thought from the first time I played that something was missing and that the houses and neighborhoods felt strangely empty. Maybe because aside from my college years when animals in the dorms were forbidden, I've never been without pets--mostly dogs and cats, but also assorted fish, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, and birds.
And I'm absolutely thrilled that they included horses. For one reason among many, my favorite toy growing up was a pink and gray My Little Pony, so I'd love to see if I could recreate it in the Sims.
