Pets are now official

I wonder if aquariums that allow multiple fish in them would be incorporated...  People with the Presenting a Perfect Aquarium LTW would appreciate that.

Simstar is right.  Aquariums came with the first Stuff Pack, High End Loft.  Since then, you can also buy them in the Sims 3 Store.  The Star Trek looking furniture has an aquarium with it.  They hold six fish and you have to make sure that you don't put a bait fish in the same tank as the predator fish.  For example, a Deathfish will kill and eat an Angel Fish if they are in the same aquarium.

Since Generations made aging gnomes, with a gnome family, do you think this means Mr.Gnome will have his own pets in mysterious Mr Gnome form?

I haven't discovered that yet.  Very cool.

Since Generations made aging gnomes, with a gnome family, do you think this means Mr.Gnome will have his own pets in mysterious Mr Gnome form? What do you guys think if EA actually did add mysterious feline, canine, aquatic, or hamster type gnomes, that would be Mr.Gnome's pets, in gnome form of course? I personally, would love to see that in the Pets expansion.

Hahaha!! That visual of itty bitty pets is absolutely hilarious. I wish I knew how that whole gnome thing works so I can be fully excited about them having little kitties and puppies. There should be a thread on Gnomes 101.

There is a Thread on Gnomes and it is very long with lots of Info in, although not so much on the new Generations features yet.

You can get them at the Sim Store for 125 Sim Points. I got mine as a gift from mgtlady and they're awesome. You don't need HELS for it to function though. 

@Pam: My apologies for spinning off topic in advance for this post. I was directing a member to the Sims 3 Store, in reguards to asking about the aquariam.

One less thing isn't really a big deal for me. Heck, I don't even remember my password or even the e-mail of my sims 3 account, so lots of less stuff for me! It'll mean your computer will run faster anyway, Sims 2 is what done in my very first computer hahaha.

I've been wanting to Simify my cat for the longest time myself. The crossbreeding cat breeds make it even more exciting and will make the Simifing process easier on me, since my cat is a Persian mix. Crazy is definatly one of my RL cat's traits.

I'm kind of disappointed that the only way to get the pet store is with the limited edition. I'm not a big fan of pre-ordering and I'm not sure that I would be able to make it to a store in time to pick up the limited edition.

If it's possible to breed pets and sell them to other animal caring sims and my sims can make a living out of it I will definatly start my own cattery and write a guide about it if I got permission for that and it's interesting enough. Guide or no guide, I will start a cattery anyway!
This also is very atractive with other animals but the girls here will not forgive me if I will write about horses so I won't dare too.
But cats... ow, cats... I can not imagine a life without them.

Thanks for the info. I still regret it that in Europe we are forced to buy the digital version digital and a case version is only available in America. I'm not bashing EA but I asume other people will agreed with me that this is simply not fair. Basing EA is something else, I'm giving critique.
One benefit is that the limited edition is the same price as the original one.

How do you know Leto? They said they're still adding regions, so they could yet add a disc limited edition in physical stores for you in time for the release. You never know...

Indeed, Pets is more or less scheduled for October. So there is still plenty of time ahead for EA to find agreements with as many retailers as possible around the world. At least, this is what I hope for.
 
What I don't understand, from the Q&A you linked to, is why they release a Limited Ed' at all? It's priced as the standard version, with additional features, which is good news. But couldn't they have released just one version, with all the goodies included? This won't bring them more money but 'cost' them the management of 2 versions, which I find a pretty strange decision. Well, wait and see...
 
For the rest, I'm absolutely ecstatic at the idea that we'll have horses  . I hope the Sims will be able to use them instead of cars to travel from one place to another.
