Pets are now official

It looks as though Pets is going to be the autumn EP.  This trailer from EA says you can already pre-order.

They just announced it on their Twitter as well. They sure didn't waste much time with pushing this out. Would be nice if they'd fix some of the issues people are having in the mean time.

Leave it to EA to announce their next EP only days after a new release. It is true that different departments are on different timetables. In general graphics and animations are way ahead of the rest of the development. You don't need much more to make a trailer like this (since - judging from the graphics - it's not shot directly from the game). Still... typically EA!

Since they announced their first EP, and every new EP since, I can't help but feel a little bummed each time they aren't introducing Seasons. I just miss them; I'm not a big fan of perpetually sunny weather. However, that trailer wasn't half bad. I'm especially interested in the potential this offers for new skills and new careers. That and the Grim on the horse just made me laugh, like one of the four Horsemen of the Apocalypse!

Lol wow they are really cranking them out! I agree with Enchanted, I wish they would focus on fixing the bugs from previous EP's before bringing in more ones!  ::) But, as long as they know we'll buy them they will probably keep doing it lol. I love cats in real life, and the kitties in the trailer are so adorable!!

I was amused by Grim on horseback too.

As far as bugs, while I haven't spent a lot of time with Generations yet it's supposed to fix a lot of them. We'll see.

I haven't been to the three other countries yet, but it did add a new one. Inventories gone wonky!! Anyways, Grim on a horse is really hilarious! Plus, the way the two horses were rubbing their heads together, I wonder if you can breed them?! Also cross-breed. A horse and cat lol. That would be hilarious!

I am really excited for this game. But, I have to agree as well. Let's fix issues instead of cranking out new games so soon.

I think it'll be fun though. Hopefully, some new skills and careers. And, I don't know if I want a new town, or if I want the pets in SV, TB, & RB. Also, I was thinking with WA it'd be cool to see what animals you could see/buy in the three worlds!!

Also, I was a huge fan of university. It'd be great to get that again, as either its own expansion or as part of another one!!

But, overall, I'm excited for pets!!

Argh, I hated pets in the previous games, unless there is something else that comes along with this EP I probably won't be buying this one.

Grim on horseback was hilarious, I can't wait to see how that turns out.

I agree with Phyre, Seasons would be a lovely addition - missing those thunderstorms!

Breeding would be interesting, they could easily add it in considering we've had it before. Cross breeding would be a bit odd though :P

All in all, new stuff is good even if it is a bit fast. I tried going to the link in the video to see about the pre-ordering info but, they haven't actually added that in yet.

Oh, neat!  I'm not as excited for this as I have been for Generations, but I'm still looking forward to it.  I've never taken advantage of EPs with pets in the past.  To do so requires you have umpteen pets and spend all your time on them, and I'd rather spend my time on my sims themselves.  Still, it will be nice to have a pet or two in the family.   :)

What? Generations was released just a few days ago and they are announcing the new expansion?! Man, let me buy this one before releasing the next one! They didn't even release a single patch that fixed an issue! >:(
Well, that's your opinion, isn't it? And I'm not about to waste my time trying to change it. - Lady GaGa

As I've said before in the forums I'm not one for raising a family, dynasties or legacies. Even with Generations I only find a family a little more interesting. I have my aging set on one day for infants and toddlers because I still find them annoying.  Give me a single Sim or a couple with a dog or several dogs any day.  I'm really happy EA appeals to diverse interests and lets people play the kind of game they want.  We all have our own game style.

LOL  I have to laugh because I'll probably have a sim just like that.  When I've had all I can take of wishes and sim drama, there will definitely be a single sim with lots of pets I retreat to for a rest.   ;)

Wouldn't it be funny if the pets get their own wishes? Brush me, feed me, take me for a walk, lets go to the park.

At least it's not just rumour now! I would have wanted more animals than Cats, Dogs and Horses, unless that's just one glimpse? Lol the Grim Reaper has a Horse.  ;D
