That's completely impossible in my case, as I was so young my parents completely blocked any use of internet on my computer, and I was the only one that had ever used it. :)

Aha! Well, in that case I have indeed remembered it wrong and you where right. Still it's pitty I have to find out now that you could control pets, because I would love that cheat 'back in the days.'

Here's the site if anyone's interested.

Thank you miss Plasma! I'm reading that link right now.

Be sure to scroll down, there are some more links that I thought were important.

Okay now, just by watching The Sims 3 Pets Demo there are alot of hint to traits.
Here's the ones I noticed;
Loyal
Fun
Playful
Adventurous
*Stupid (?)
Agressive
Patient
Independent
(Horses) Friendly.

*It said stupid, am guessing that kinda of absent minded?

Aw that doggie is so cute! I am going to name it Sparks. Who is the cutest virtual puppy I've ever seen? You are!  :P
Now that I got that out of my system, I got so many question going through my head! I am going to share some of the non-stupid ones.

1- How many traits can dogs/cat/horses have?
2-They age up, I know that. But their live stages are like our Sims? (Number of days)
3-Can we like, change breeds and stuff, size and color?
4-Will there be werewolves? Is there like any sign or hint? I've have not heard anything from EA and there's nothing on the trailers but EA, sweetie, I need an answer!

Also I would love to take them traveling Widonja, I hope we can.

1 - looks like 2, but this is a dog at his 1st life stage (probably) so, it could be 3!
2 - They have 3 stages, other is unknown at this time...
3 - There is no slider for height yet, but you can 'change breeds', like making a spotted pug and stuff ;)
4 - probably not (I have no source, just a gut feeling... we don't want Sims to become Twilight ;))

A hunch tells me that there will be werewolves. They came with Pets for the Sims 2 and so far TS3 occults are mostly lining up with their respective TS2 counterparts: vampires came with Late Night (counterpart to Nightlife) and robots came with Ambitions (counterpart to Open for Business).

First lifestage is embryo.
No, I'm kidding: I think/asume it would be puppy indeed. Or kitten, or foal. Or an egg, if we're talking about birds, amphibians and reptiles.

I also asume their lifespan would be shorter than that of actual sims. Cat's and dogs don't live as long as humans and horses too. It wouldn't be very realistic if a cat in The Sims 3 can passed on three to four generations into the future.

I wonder if Pets will also be able to eat ambrosia to extend their lifespans. I hope and wish they get to in the game.

Given all the power we already have I can't imagine EA not giving us a way to keep them alive. It makes me wonder about pet aging and how that will fall in line with the already extensive options we have for each life span.

Perhaps we'll be able to mix Ambrosia into their food thus resetting the pets' lifespans. I definitely think there will be a way other than this, but if not - this one should be there.
Well, that's your opinion, isn't it? And I'm not about to waste my time trying to change it. - Lady GaGa
