Young again potion
« on: June 03, 2011, 05:11:02 AM »
I just used it on 2 townies. Not in my Dynasty. Remember Buster Clavell? Well, for those who don't know him, here is how he looks at the start of the game.

He was 92 when I gave him the potion. Here is young Buster.

And, after a quick trip to the mirror, dresser and body sculptor, I'm proud to introduce Buster Clavell, young adult!

And of course, his wife Bessie Clavell.

She was 90 when given the potion.

I never knew how pretty she was until after a quick trip to the mirror, dresser and body sculptor! Here is the young adult Bessie Clavell!

I just wish I would have tried it before my Dynasty. Now I'm off to remake Yumi!!  ;D

EDIT: I also was wondering if elder women that drank it could have kids again, and there was no way I was trying that one in my Dynasty without checking. Well, Bessie is now pregnant with Buster's child so yes they can!  ;D

Thank you Thomas! Here is Yumi Sekemoto.

Young Yumi. She was 87 when she drank it.

And after a trip to the dresser and mirror Yumi!

So all the Old Townies are better looking as YA than a lot of the Younger Townies.  :D

I guess the Strangetown disease affected only the young generation - the old one looks perfect! Well done Esther! :D
Well, that's your opinion, isn't it? And I'm not about to waste my time trying to change it. - Lady GaGa

Wow what a cool addition to the game!  I think this is the first time in sims when we've been able to revert sims to  prior life stage.

Thanks Musenapper! I don't know about 1 or 2 but it's definitely the first in 3!

What skills are required to make the potion?

Chemistry is linked to the Logic Skill but it works like Inventing where you have to discover Potions I think, correct me if I am wrong.

I think you're absolutely right, samoht.

The only chemist I've tried already had level 10 logic, so I'm wondering if a lower level of logic would mean they might have trouble discovering potions or make them badly or something.  Does anyone know if logic level affects the quality of their potion-making?

I know that it builds the Logic Skill but I have not explored it at all yet apart from getting one skill point from it.

Yeah the only skill needed is Logic. Or, you can also spend 70,000 lifetime happiness points. I would think if they were level 10 in logic, they should have an easier time finding and making them and wouldn't fail as much.

My Aneeya got the potion from life points then proceeded to recreate the potion on her chemistry set. IT was her first try as well. She has level 10 logic which probably made the difference.
