About Gardening on The Sims 3 for PS3!

Hello Everyone! I just started playing The Sims 3 for PS3. I started to collect seeds but can't seem to plant them. Do I need to read books on gardening to bring by gardening skills up first before I can plant the seeds? Thanks for the help!!  ~Sammy

Hi and welcome to the forums, Sammy.

I have only experienced the PC version of the game but it should be no different, really. To plant certain, more advanced, seeds, sure you need to get your Gardening skill up. But, plants such as tomato, lettuce and apple can easily be planted with no Gardening skill. As you tend these, your Sim will gain skill points which will eventually allow you to plant other plants too. This guide here can help you too.

To plant a seed you have to go into build mode and lay the seed on the ground. Once placed there you click on the seed in live mode and if your skill is high enough for the plant type you will be able to select plant here. Enjoy!

No, it is not her username.  You used her real first name.  Her username is gerrr00.  She's about to remove her real name from the post.  I'm glad we won't be having any problems.
