Calais has been spending all her time at the pool working on those 50 portraits. While she was painting, there was a drowning at the pool.

At least she is getting through all those paintings!

The twins aged up to toddler. As you can see, I have yet to remake the walls. That will be done soon, I hope!

Dalian Coastal has her mother's hair and eyes. I'm not too sure on the features yet, but she's cute. Then again, all toddlers are cute:

And her twin sister Dakar. Except for the brown eyes, they are very similar.

Even during the birthday, Calais keeps painting. And painting, And painting.

With twins to teach toddler skills to, and a bunch of nectar still to make, I had Cordell befriend this baby sitter Brittney. She's the third sitter they've hired, and the first who actually did anything with the kids so I picked her. Cordell got her to move in, so live-in baby sitter! I have had a lot of glitches with her, though. Her motives are maxed and won't go down and she keeps dropping her queue. She leaves school during the day so I have to keep sending her back. Once I reset her, the motive problem went away, but now she keeps getting out of bed instead of sleeping. She may be getting kicked out if I can't fix it. Then again, she can use one of the family's motive mobiles and skip the sleep.

In honor of the birthday, I finally decided to redo the house. The main floor just saw a recolor of the walls, and I built a basement for the nectar and the kids.

I'll furnish the basement when the kids hit child stage. The one en-suite room is for Brittney.
I do like Brittney, but she complains to the toddlers about having to work for her keep. At least she is romantic.

I'm home from work with a broken foot. Unless I get a walking cast today, I'll be playing a lot and posting a lot for the next few days. You may get a bunch of updates. ;)

Cordell visited Calais at the pool. They both had a wish for a baby, so why not? The paparazzi outside the bathroom must have snitched to the world, since everyone found out about this escapade and the family took relationship hits. Usually the accusations are false, but this one was true, so I didn't sue over it.

The pool has been a funny place. This sim is stuck walking on water. She has been there all day and peed herself, so now she stinks. I had Calais use the moodlet manager on her - funny pics. Calais swam over to her then popped out of the water to cure her, then she fell back in the water.

Cordell wanted to drink some nectar, so I let him serve some of his Flaming Nectar Full of Life. Good stuff!

Except the maid doesn't think so:

The parents weren't home when the twins aged up to child. The live in babysitter Brittney got to do the cake for them:

Of course, dad gets home right at the end.

Since Dalian is going to be working on her inventing skill, she got some work clothes:

I don't know why I gave Dakar these. She's athletic, so I should have gone more in that direction. Oh, well, teen years will be here soon.

Dalian got the obligatory tutoring to assure hitting the honor roll from Cordell.

But he had to leave during the tutoring to bring home the newboo - welcome Dover Coastal!

When he got home with Calais and Dover, Cordell continued tutoring Dalian:

And after the kids were in bed, Cordell and Calais hit the showers.

Dalian works on her inventing skill in her free time.

And she gets to make friends with her grandmother Keisha's ghost. She even bragged about making the honor roll!

To close, baby Dover aged up to toddler. Everyone was busy so he did it without cake. Sorry, Dover.

Sorry to hear about your foot, but glad about the installments. Where is Dalian? It makes a pretty name.

Sorry to hear about your foot, but glad about the installments. Where is Dalian? It makes a pretty name.

Thanks for the sympathy. I'm fine, but my job requires a ton of walking, so I'm out for now.
I am using a wikipedia list of port cities. Dalian is a city in China. I haven't heard of it before, but I loved it.

Thanks for the well wishes! I have a walking boot, so I'm working, just walking a bit slowly. I am on my feet all shift - about 10 hours - walking around a casino.
I have managed to play a bit, so here's an update:

I didn't get any infant pictures of the newest Coastal. Drogheda was welcomed home by her parents, siblings and live-in nanny.
Calais aged up to elder while at the junk yard with Dalian.

Dakar aged up in a bathroom in the basement:

While Dalian aged up while inventing:

Sorry, didn't take any pics of Dalian as a teen. I just was powering through. I do have a pic of the kids all doing homework together, though:

As you can see in that pic, Dover and Drogheda have both aged up to child. Dover's been a child

Shorty, that was followed by Dover aging up to teen:

And a few more days later Drogheda aged up:

The day after the twins' young adult birthday, Calais turned 90. She went to the consignment store to cancel any remaining unsold goods. I'm not sure what would happen to my (thankfully still working) consignment store if a Sim died with stuff for sale, and I don't want to find out. Of course, who should visit as soon as she's done canceling her sales?

Dakar was depressed, but she figured she should press on with her purpose in the family. She took Dover to China where she studied martial arts. Dover fished for koi and dragon fish. Dakar even managed to get some gems from space rocks before they were done.

Of course, right after she gets home, Cordell meets Grim at age 92. In the same place as so many Coastal ancestors. Grim must have decided to make it a two-fer. He took a paparazzi at the same time.

At home, Calais keeps working on her supermax skill. The second shot is actually her working on the SimBot. I never got a pic of Deandre, her first and only SimBot. Maybe I'll have to invite him over.

And Dakar keeps breaking rocks. I should just marry her off and move her out now that she's fulfilled her purpose, but I love collecting gems.

Dover aged up to young adult while fishing in the family pond. I liked the look, I'll keep it.

Thanks for all the well-wishes. And thanks for writing all your stories - I'm reading them all, even if I don't comment. Sims stories while on strong pain meds is a ton of fun!

The family hasn't had any good drama lately, but I'm getting close to closing out another generation.

Drogheda aged up in the bathroom. Why she likes to age up in the bathroom when I ignore her birthday is beyond me.

I actually like the look the game gave her, so it'll stay.

Dover went fishing in France in order to fulfill an opportunity. Also to be able to stock the pond at home.

And he keeps working on his celeb ops. He's the last of the family to reach 5-star status.

Dalian supermaxed inventing. She managed to blow herself up when I put about 50 smashers in the junkyard to get blown up. She's close to maxing the inventing career, but it's been a tough slog. I should have done a rabbit hole instead.

I send Dover around town meeting NPCs and inviting them home. Here he met Martha Bynum, repowoman.

In the background is Jan Liles, tattoo artist. Yes, Dover brought her home. Dakar is husband hunting. She invited over the bald guy, Antonio Singh - but he was hot in her friend list, still. When he showed up as an elder, she called the next guy on the list, Kurtis Shoemaker, whom she is talking to.

It's a good thing Dakar changed her mind when her first choice showed up. Grim thought he was a good choice, too!

So Dakar and Kurtis left on a date. They went to the park:

When Kurtis dropped off Dakar he must have hoped for a goodnight kiss. Well, Dakar did him a bit better:

Kurtis is an immigrant. He lives with three other sims, but they are not related. I had a three-second though of moving them all in, but decided not to. He works with Dakar at City Hall. Had I known he cleaned up so nice, I would have kept him for Dalian. He's one of the better looking immigrant sims I've ever seen. I saved him to the bin. I may use him for challenges later.

The family has a fortune thanks to all of Calais' paintings, Cordell's nectar and Dakar's space rock gems. I bought them a nice house as their wedding present.

Now, to marry off the two other siblings and then finish up with Dalian. Woohoo!

Drogheda invited her high school boyfriend, Shayne Mobley, out on a date to the park. Of course there were onlookers.

Drogheda went home to tell her sister Dalian about her impending wedding. I haven't done a big wedding in a few generations so I think it's time.

The D Generation has to meet its final goals in order for Dalian to move on. One is meeting a few more NPC friends at the house. Here Drogheda (with high charisma she makes instant friends) meeting the local cops and firemen:

Dalian finished her last black op. She met two sims who dressed identically, and both are vampires. Freaky.

Maxing the inventing career meant Dalian had an awards ceremony at city hall. She even curtsied to the mayor in his tri-cornered hat!

Here's Dalian working with her awards surrounding her (and an uninvited paparazzi - how do they get in without a welcome?)

Typically for this watcher, here comes another birthday with no party:

Drogheda kept calling Shayne out for a date, and he kept refusing saying "I don't feel like it." So, the watcher bought her the Legendary Host award and threw a party at the park. The only one invited was Shayne.

I'd move Drogheda and Shayne out, but she has all the best friends for the family. Dover may get married soon and move out, followed by the end of this generation.

Thanks for reading!

Wrapping up the D generation -

Drogheda and Shayne must have been successful.

All the love from the newlyweds must have gotten to Dover. He took a shine to Nichol Bess, one of the maids.

Yep, I've gotten quite good at meet-to-marry-in-one day scenarios.
I've always wanted to use this big hair, and Nichol seemed like the type I could use it on

The newlyweds promptly were moved out. The family has a ton of money thanks to Calais and Cordell and Dakar's space rocks. So they got a nice, big house.

In the meantime, Drogheda wrote thank-you cards for the gifts. The ones from the ghosts of her parents were really special.

The next day, while I was working on getting Dalian married off, Drogheda went into labor. I did get to choose the babies' names (twins) during Dalian's courtship.

Dalian had finished all the requirements for her to move, so she called up Fred Harder and invited him out. Time to finish up and move on to the next generation. Yes, he has the same outfit that Dakar's husband Kurtis has.

And the first night in her new house heard some chimes:

I have just read the entire story so far and very much enjoyed it. I do his ever get a little confused when there are so many sims having birthdays. Probably because I keep my household size to four sims plus a pet. Finally thanks for writting such an inspirational story.Wi

Thanks, Xanatos!
I usually play a large family in my game, so keeping track of them is not too hard. I've been playing my immortal dynasty, but haven't been doing a story on that one. I'm about to pick up this one tonight and should have an update in the next day or so.

Ok, so back in the saddle!

Fred lives in a huge house on an island by itself. He is a handsome guy, and hopefully his nose will win out over Dalian's in their first kid. I'd prefer his wide one to Dalian's pixie one.

Fred has a roommate named Luke McNeal. Luke was going to get moved out right away, but it turns out he's got the family oriented trait, so I'll keep him around for toddler training duties. Plus, he's about 4 days from elder so maybe he can build up enough LTH points to provide the tombstone. Yes, he and Fred have the same big nose.

The family doesn't have much money, so Dalian gets to make inventions in the fire station and sell them for some income.

It's here she finds out she's pregnant.

Fred also needs to make some money, so he's sent to pick fruit from the Original Coastal homestead:

Dalian goes to the hospital alone to give birth. I haven't picked a gender, just went with the flow:

Welcome baby Eliat Coastal!

And to close with a funny picture. I love the way the game gives out names. This is Siddartha Cantu:
