Calais is a cute kid. You're wise to do tutoring -- with only 7 days as a child, it can be hard to get them on the honor roll.

Thanks for the well wishes! I may need them - or a new computer. The lag is starting in, and I have 7 more generations to go.
MarianT - I try to make sure that the heir gets tutored up before the first day of school. With Generations, the family gets a day off for graduation, so the heir may miss a day of school if an older housemate graduates. I figured out that will happen with Calais, so I made sure she would get on the honor roll. Plus, it lets me have her meet friends in school instead of working hard. ;)

Calais' childhood went by quickly.
She got to know her father better:

Keisha had her adult birthday with just the family and the maid around:

At the same time, Boston had his elder birthday:

That hair again! Thankfully, this is the last birthday for Boston, so the last time I'll see that hair on him.
And the maid spent the birthday complaining about the trash. Maybe he should do his job?

After the cake, Boston and Keisha retired to the bedroom to celebrate their birthdays:

Was that chimes I heard?

After their celebration, Boston got a wardrobe and haircut befitting his new elder status:

And Keisha kept checking for wrinkles:

At least when she wasn't watching TV:

Her mother's ghost came to visit often, and would talk about her impending grandchild:

Soon, it was time for Josie's birthday:

She's one of the better looking sims out there:

But if it wasn't Boston's horrible hair, it's going to be that awful top, so a quick trip to the dresser:

At graduation the next day, there was a protest against (for?) clowns:

Josie brought home William Abe - the same kid who came home from school that day:

Meet William Abe Annan:

All I can say is that it's a good thing they moved out that night. I don't think I could resist making him over and trying out the new plastic surgery at the hospital.

Calais had her birthday a few days later, at home with just family:

At least no plastic surgery for Calais, just a new hair style.

Thanks for reading and good luck with your own dynasties!

Keisha went into labor in the yard while painting.

Welcome Cardiff and Copenhagen Coastal!

Also while painting, Keisha got a popup about the sky turning dark. NOT AGAIN! The orange ghost is Aberdeen's first love, Adrian Fleet. The other one a few pics down is her daughter.

At least, one of the bystanders was a cute high school boy that Calais got to meet and take on a date:

The twins had their birthday, but not without drama of their own:

At least we got an NPC friend out of it...

Cardiff Coastal (with his eyes closed) - the return of Josephine's hair

And Copenhagen Coastal - a new look for a Coastal - haven't had brown eye much if at all, I have to look

The twins get to make friends with each other

While Calais gets ready for her prom. First the dress, then the hair:

You really are a positive person: you see something good in every drama. That's the spirit! :)
And I like your naming theme. Gives you some original names.

Thanks, Tipi! I try to keep on the positive side of life - keeps me happy.
With my legacies I usually go with an alphabetical order - A for the founder, B for the first generation born, etc. My Immortal Dynasty is named after Heinlein characters (Lazarus Long is the founder) but I'm not doing a story on that one unless I get forced to restart. When I started this story, I wanted to use the alphabetical ordering but with a twist to how I named them, so I decided to use coastal cities. It's been fun figuring out what to use.
I'm working a ton, but I should have enough to update in a few days, I hope.

Short but bitter-sweet update:

First the sweet. Calais supermaxed her painting (and also maxed the painter career the same day):

Copenhagen and Cardiff had their child birthdays - Copenhagen first, then Cardiff:

I was so intent on some other aspects of the game that I forgot it was Calais' birthday, so she aged up while painting:

I did change some of the colors on her outfits to orange (her favorite color), but didn't take screen shots.

The next morning came the bitter part. Boston was gardening when Grim decided that 95 days were enough. He died doing the same thing in the same spot where grandfather Jake died:

Here's Jake's death picture for comparison. As you can see, the garden had some work after Jake died:

I've played a bit but haven't updated, so I'll have a few today.

Cardiff and Copenhagen celebrated their teen birthday together.

Cardiff has the Josephine Hair with Keisha's green eyes. It's a good look.

Copenhagen looks like a slacker teen, which is good for his artistic/writing life. He popped up the wish to be an Illustrious Author (max painting and writing), so I'll go with his current look.

The boys both learned how to drive. Keisha taught them in her Motive Mobile.

Boston comes out to visit once in a while. One time, Keisha managed to capture his ghostly portrait:

Keisha's mother's ghost visits, too:

The ghosts visiting must have given Grim a reason to visit and reap this paparazzi.

During the pap's death, Keisha aged up to elder. I'm not sure if that's funny or sad:

The new consignment specialist must have been sick. He just got out of the hospital:

And Calais keeps getting people taking pics of her since she's a celebrity:

Keisha and Calais keep painting. The both painted portraits of one of the maids:

I thought this was cute. The twins both have fuzzy slippers. I didn't pick the outfits - I tend to let the game pick and I only change if I can't stand it. And there is enough birthday cake in the fridge to feed the family for the week:

Cardiff will place pranks if I don't keep him busy.

So I send him to the park to meet potential future spouses. This is Elisa Dawson:

And Calais keeps working on her requirements. This is her completing her 10th black op - viewing the artists' gallery:

She ran into two of her cousins outside afterwards. I just had to take the pic. (Calais/Lourdes Coastal/Margarita Tobias). I was tempted to add them to my game and play Charlie's Angels with them, but I have enough to do.

The twins aged up to young adult

Three weddings and a funeral:

Cardiff called up Elisa Dawson and invited her out.

But she rejected his proposal. Turns out she's insane.

But invite her home where we have a French incense burner...

I was so caught up in getting them married that I forgot it was Calais' adult birthday. She celebrated by herself while her brother and sister-in-law celebrated their own moment:

Copenhagen, learning from his brother's mistakes, invited his high school prom sweetheart over to the house. Here's Mitzi Rapp:

Mitzi Coastal, nee Rapp, is cute:

Is that Josephine hair? Yep. She's a second cousin. I didn't look at the family tree at all, turns out she is descended from Aberdeen's younger sister Anacortes. And her brother is Cordell, who is dating Calais. Well, second cousins isn't too bad. The game actually will allow first cousin once removed romantic relationships.

So there have been two weddings, why not a death?
This paparazzi decided to die on the property. Shanna Smalls, RIP.

But at least Keisha got to renew her friendship with Grim:

And the growing graveyard. Boston had grabbed his mother's tombstone from the mausoleum, there is Kristie Annan (Keisha's mother) in the middle and Boston on the right. The front two are the paparazzi who dared to die on the property.

Shortly after the wedding, Mitzi has morning sickness.

Calais calls over her boyfriend Cordell. She (er, I have) decided it's time to move on.

Calais met all moving requirements:
Born 8 days after her parents' wedding.
Supermax skill - painting
Career max - painter
Honor roll both elementary and high schools
10 NPC friends on property:

- Moises Platt, fire fighter
- Peter Bradford, paparazzi
- Elissa Reilly, maid
- Boston Coastal, ghost
- Grim Reaper
- Paige Sepulveda, pizza delivery
- Dale Woodall, mixologist
10 Best Friends (there are about 25 between the family, woo hoo!)
- Cardiff Coastal
- Keisha Coastal
- Cordell Rapp
- Copenhagen Coastal
- Elisa Coastal
- Lesley Coastal
- Boston Coastal
- Holly Abe
- Peter Bradford
2 businesses
- Coastal Corporate Towers
- Coastal Community Pool (fully upgraded - and will play a big part in the next generation...)
10 black ops
- The Mural
- Interior Decor
- The Business of Decor
- Deliver a Painting to China
- Painting the City
- Fresco Fest
- A Large Painting
- The Study of Art
- Deliver a Painting to France
- Local Artists' Gallery
Tombstone of a household member
- Boston Coastal, large
10 items left behind:
- 10 Life Fruit Pomegranate Nectar total 93,042. I could have waited another week to 10 days to move out Calais to get a better value, but I'm done with this file! ;)
Travel used
-China 4 days, France 1, Egypt 1. 6 Days used, 4 carried over, 6 remain from prior generations. 10 unused vacation days in the bank for future generations.
No items in inventory except for moodlet manager and motive mobile purchased by Calais

Cordell doesn't have many traits I would ever pick for a dynasty spouse - technophobe, easily impressed, unlucky, inappropriate, but he at least loves the outdoors. His LTW is Bottomless Nectar Cellar - I can do that easily with the upgraded nectar makers from Boston's first house.

Calais' and Cordell's new house:

I haven't remade any of the houses more than move/upgrade furniture. This house will be seeing a full makeover. Those walls make my eyes bleed.

And check out Cordell's swimwear before and after. I don't usually change clothes, but I couldn't let this happen:

Cordell's first swimsuit looks like a drowning waiting to happen. And I'm with you on the wallpaper.

Thanks, MarianT. I don't know why the pirate boots are set to valid for swimwear. The only other thing in that category is bare feet. Ugh.

I've played through the birth and toddlerhood of the next heir. I'll update today or tomorrow.

If you follow the challenges, you'll know that I learned a secret from ClayMask. Thank, CM!
The family already owned the public pool. I added some easels - about 50 - before Calais got married. She had the "View Local Artists' Gallery" opportunity, so she took full advantage of it.

This painting is worth $10,570 before any appreciation. Not too bad!

Cordell made some nectar to work on his LTW. Of course, the fruits were from his great-grandparents' lot.

While making nectar, Cordell met great-grandmother Josephine's ghost.

And he got to say goodbye to Keisha:

I have a bunch of screenshots of Cordell and Copenhagen having the same reactions to Keisha's death. It's funny to watch them mourn the same motions at the same time.

Calais and Cordell got to write thank you notes for all the great gifts:

And then the watcher told them to get busy - time was a'wastin!

And yes, that's an apple Calais is eating. I wonder why?

Cordell made some friends in the cemetery. He also got to be friends with Lynda'a ghost. He managed to become a 5-star celebrity with these friendships:

Calais brings home twin (without any action from me) girls (girls? Didn't you eat apples? Well, only 2, which isn't quite enough, I guess).

Congratulations on the arrival of the girls. Just so you know two apples is no where near enough to get a boy.

Thanks, Rachel. I know about the apples, I just kinda forgot to have her eat any. She has about 50 in her inventory, but I keep using the moodlet manager on her while she paints. She'll have a boy next time.
