Odd gnome behavior
« on: June 01, 2011, 04:23:20 PM »
Has anyone else noticed odd Gnome behavior of their household gnomes?  My Sultan Sam has completely disappeared since install.  He's no longer a member of my household.  All of the others randomly move around but every night they gather in a circle randomly in the yard.

I guess gnomes just want to have fun too, lol.  Sorry, couldn't resist.  I haven't played a game yet with my gnomes, but it is cute though.  Maybe they are having a meeting to see what mischief they can get into next. :)

Yeah I think they sort of interact with each other now....

SPOILER WARNING

I read that if you put 2 gnomes together at a wedding they have a baby

I thought that I read somewhere that you can have gnome families so maybe that is what is happening?? I haven't gotten to play yet so I don't know beside I don't do much with gnomes!

I usually sell mine anyways, so I don't know what they do! That is very weird I had no idea that they could move around!

I normally either sell them or keep them in a treasure chest. Time for them to move out and explore the world after installing Generations. I wonder what they will do in my game.

I got a pic of my gnome doing doing the 'oh what a feeling' (Toyota) jump. I don't normally place them either, but I figured I'd start a gnome collection this time around.

I've noticed that they gather together a lot more now. I even caught them gathered together, looking attentively, when one of my Sims gave a spontaneous "tell ghost story" performance.

I also have four little gnome headstones in the yard now.

Lol I thought it looked like they were having a dance competition for some reason.  :D It's funny my gnomes seem to spawn away from each other most of the time.

I didn'r know they interacted together. I got annoyed with them turning on the stereo or TV when my sim was trying to sleep. Maybe I'll keep the next few and see.

I like the teenage goth gnomes, black fingernails, pouty look and always in trouble.  I also have four gnome headstones.  They also move altogether now, but every once in a while, a lone gnome will poof like usual to another location.  You can find them everywhere and actually I find it quite amusing, sort of like playing hide and seek, lol.

I never had any gnomes in my house until lately, so I didn't know this habit to gather was new...
Now I only keep two laundry gnomes, as I find those large group formations a bit annoying, and I noticed they stay alone if there's only a couple of them...  :D

Anyone else noticed a change in the selling price of the basic magic gnome? Can't remember the name, but I mean the one you get from fishing.
I'm sure it was about 100 simoleons or less before Generations, but now it's 1000 or more. This is why I always just sold them right away when my sim fished them, I thought they were the same gnome than the one you get from Buy Mode.
