Treehouses
« on: June 01, 2011, 07:47:46 AM »
Have you bought a treehouse for your Sims so that they can experience the fun? Children can play inside and imagine different settings, while adults can... woohoo inside! If you know more about this object, please share. Thanks!

I put a treehouse in the backyard and had my little sim play in it.  It was quite adorable and then I had her pour a bucket of water on her dad.  He got the soaked moodlet and the facial expressions are priceless.  The little sims imagination runs wild.  I have tried a little bit of everything, but really didn't play all that much yet. :)

Sounds funny! Can't wait to try it out. Could you move the father with MoveObjects On? Because it would be totally great for stories to have all these expressions! :D

I guess you can.  You mean, move them so you can use certain expressions for other interactions?

Mainly for screenshots. Those expressions (as you say) are priceless. :) But, a combination with other interactions will make a good screenie too.

Guys! SimPrograms reports some very interesting news about Treehouses! I'm so excited. :) What do you think?

Quote
We alredy talked about tree houses, and we told that adults can WooHoo in Tree Houses. Of course they can try for baby too, and the fun facts is the effect on the newborn. The tree house type will set a related personality trait on the newborn!
Club house: loves the outdoors or adventurous
Sci-Fi: genius or eccentric
Castle: snob

When 2 Sim WooHoo on tree house they often get the negative moodlet: Spinter. You have the 50% chance of get or not this mood. You should know that some traits have multipliers of this chance: if your Sim is Unlucky or Clumsy you will get Splinter more often! On the contrary, if your Sim is Lucky you can decrease the probability to get splinter!

Since I have both a boy and a girl in the family I thought it was only fair they each had their own tree house.  I put one for each on opposite corners of the lot.  The boy will play in it at random times but the girl goes there constantly. Anytime I can't find her in her bed at night I know exactly where she is now. She's sleeping in her tree house.

And about that SimProgram trait information. Unless it's something that only happens randomly it doesn't always work out that way. My parent Sims did the try for baby interaction in the castle tree house and the baby came with genius and technophobe traits.

The tree houses are cute, although I'm slightly disappointed that they're rabbit holes. I wish we could see what goes on inside the tree houses, and have the children interact inside.

On the plus side, I love the set entry options: A girl can set it to "No Boys Allowed" and vise virsa or Anyone. I'm still learning about Generations as I play more.  :)

The moment I put in the treehouse, the father got the wish "Woohoo in treehouse". Haven't yet played with the treehouse though. Will check it out today.

I've had my Sims woohoo in the tree house, and the kids play in the tree house.  My favorite thing (in the regular tree house, not the sci-fi or castle one) is the "fight pirates" option.  there are great big explosions and pirate sounds coming from inside.  its awesome.

No teens cannot go into the tree house, which I think is a little odd if you ask me, considering adults can woo-hoo.   :-\

Each time my sims WooHoo in the tree house, the male gets a negative moodlet from a "splinter in the rear". It happens everytime and only to the male.

This thing is absolutely amazing! :D

I discovered that children can "Sleep" inside it too. Pretty neat if you don't have enough sleepbags/tents but want to hold a camp, lol.

I thought I'd ask. I saw that the treehouse called Kids' Clubhouse or something like that comes with a slide. Is it functional? Or just for decoration?

The kids can use the slide to exit; but the parents can't.
